@@champbrite1375 It was an incredible stay! The cost of living is cheap there, I took full advantage of it (I live in France). No need to rent a car, Ubers are cheap, same for the bus prices to go to Punta Cana.

U the problem. It’s ok to be giving but u are the reason prices inflate massively high. A lot of people like you paying more than the actual store . That’s a freaking problem fool. 25 bucks for a shirt when u can get it for 15 or 10 I rather pay them the 10 and maybe give them a voluntarily tip ( up to u)

My mom is Dominican and she doesnt't like Christopher Columbus and tells me that most Dominicans aren't fond of him so it's surprising to see such landmarks named in his honor.

Can't change history good or bad you own it and move on. 🤷🏻‍♂️ That's the spirit of most Dominicans... Trujillo and Balaguer ruled the DR for a long time some of those monuments were built during their periods and needless to say those were not the most democratic times.

It is safe, I’ve walked around those areas late at night numerous times and I’ve been fine, just stay away from the sketchy neighborhoods in the outskirts of the city like he said and you’ll be fine
