Some of the best fishing in the world not only for the abundance of cod, halibut, ling, wolffish “torsk.” The latter have teeth like a mini hippo. They chew up shellfish like M&Ms. So take care when handling them. The rivers are also full of salmon, trout, and grayling. It is on my bucket list for boat, shore sea fishing with time fly fishing both on the rivers. Ideally to also catch even some smaller cod and halibut on a fly rod. Based in the UK so it will be in 25 or 26

47:43 All the Reindeer in Northern Norway are domestic (even if they seemingly run wild). So, hunting them means poaching, which is not unheard of, but not spoken about (sensitive for various reasons). There are wild herds you can legally hunt in Southern Norway.
@zebedeemadness267250 минут бұрын
Not all Reindeer are owned, there is still fully wild never owned populations in the Mountains of Norway, technically no Reindeer is Domestic just owned simi-wild. As the fully wild stock and the simi-wild stock are genetically identical all being the Mountain reindeer (Rangifer tarandus tarandus). For owned Reindeer to be Domestic they would have to be genetically different, be recognised as such and be given their own separate scientific name, that's different from Mountain reindeer (Rangifer tarandus tarandus), being for example something like Domestic reindeer (Rangifer Domesticus) as a species, or (Rangifer tarandus Domesticus) as a subspecies, but there is no recognised genetic separation between the remaining wild Reindeer and the semi-wild Reindeer.

Growing up we fished with Herring all the time here in Massachusetts. Nowadays it's totally illegal even though the numbers of Herring are rebounding nicely. Hopefully the fish and wildlife management allow us to use Herring for bait again soon. My brother got busted a few years ago. He was fined $50 per herring. His fine was something like $800.

There was semi-wild Mountain reindeer (Rangifer tarandus tarandus) introduce to Alaska, in the area of Seward peninsula from Eurasia. But Alaska (so the United States) has always had its own fully wild Reindeer subspecies, being the Barren-ground reindeer (Rangifer tarandus groenlandicus) found in most of Alaska, so not all Reindeer in Alaska are derived from introduce origin. Technically the name Caribou only applies to one subspecies, being the Boreal woodland (caribou) reindeer (Rangifer tarandus caribou), with the subspecies name caribou, that's found through out the southern provinces of Canada (Newfoundland, Labrador, Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and New England), also can just be found in a some states (Washington, Idaho and Montana) of the United States.
