when the rain that falls onto your roof is collected, appropriately filtered / stored in a suitable rainwater harvesting tank, and then treated, it can technically be used for washing dishes. No so smart to use it if not filter it ( and not that cap he made is not a fileter ) ! Cant wash dishes they will then they will get sick genius !

Boris is a skilled engineer. Learning what materials are available in the Philippines is challenging. Now he needs to learn how to read the codes that are stamped on the tubed caulking. They have numbers and letters stamped on the tube which represents the date of manufacture. Most caulking is only good for 18 months or they end up separating or a solid. If a wire feed Mig welder is available, it would be best for the thin walled metal tubing. I’m sure with Boris’s skills and both of your ambitions there will be a lot more projects in the future.

To stop the leaves and prevent mosquitoes from brreding in your bluevwater tanks use mosquito net fabric to cover the top and fasten wtith nylon rope or twine.

😮Protect your lungs too Boris especially when welding aluminium. Yes. The salt from the seaspray will rust the metal. Good precaution to paint and wear respirator. With the metal roof you will be able to store collect water. Would wetting the pillow stuffing make it easier to mold and put more into the filter.

I was a bit worried the blue water tank would roll to the street while Darlene was inside! 😂 I like the water filter Boris made. It reminded me of an aquarium water filter. The only thing missing is the carbon chips! 😅 Try not to overwhelm yourself with the projects. Things will get done slowly but surely, just need patience. ❤
