Good ride. I was the rider in the high-vis top with you in the front group, although struggling to hang on by the time it got to the Curraghs, it felt like such a hard pace. Then punctured there anyway which probably saved me! Chapeau

Bad luck, especially re the puncture. I think the balance the course has - mix of flat, rolling, real climbs and descents, is great. I think they're right to include the Curraghs, but riding through there is a bit of a lottery - quite a few people came to grief there. I did a training ride through there a couple of weeks before with a local group, and one of the riders blew a hole in his tyre and I lost a £50 front light that ejected from the bracket after I hit a hole.
