Definitely recommend that you try this part with motion controls. I did this twice with button controls, but Link wouldn't switch direction fast enough to follow the rhythm of the audience. With motion controls, any change you make is automatic. I didn't get an excellent score, mind you. But I did well enough to finish the quest

i recommend grinding out the bamboo cutting mini game on bamboo island, and then using button controls so you can always get more than 28 cuts. if you get more than 28 cuts you get one of three treasures, all 3 of the treasures that you can potentially get sell for 100 rupees each, if you grind the mini game you can get more than 1000 rupees in less than ten minutes easily

I studied meteorology about a decade ago. While I’m not actively practicing meteorology I can confirm that the time of day and time of year do affect the angle of the sun, which would then in turn affect the angle of the light that hits the mirror. The cloud cover also plays a role in our normal weather. Clouds diffuse sunlight, reflect that diffused light between the clouds and the earth, and keep in heat during colder seasons. The light that Skyloft receives hypothetically would be more direct and less scattered comparatively, but this doesn’t take into account the makeup of the clouds themselves. The cirrus clouds that are at the top of our atmosphere are thin and wispy, versus normal cumulus clouds that we see day to day. Skyloft’s clouds look to be mainly cumulus clouds, not including the Thunderhead, so the effect these clouds have on the Sky would most likely be different than what we would expect in our atmosphere. You forgot a secret Chest in Eldin. Its behind a bombable wall in that passage where you had to drain the lava and jump down into that mine. Land on one of those pillars with the bombs or use the bomb bag, now that you have it. The Chest ist on ground level of the north eastern side(?) from the perspective falling down. I think it contains a random rare monster drop(golden skull/blue feather /etc). It was in the original, i hope they didnt remove it. Awesome Walkthrough, love this!

Doh Doh and his minigame are a pain and the guy is hopelessly obnoxious. I spent 1.5 frustrating hours getting the piece of heart regardless of the HD version or the original. Oddly enough the motion controls I'm still used to and am better at despite trying it the other way. Also I liked the Karane Ending to the side quest better because that way Crawlin will get what he deserves without Link being directly at fault (upholding the standards of the Knight Academy), Karane will get her true love while Pipit will get his as well. I wished though I could have the results of both endings play out at the same time. Like I would give the letter to Karane and she would give it back while the ending would play out between Karane, Crawlin and Pipit. Meanwhile you head to the bathroom and give the letter to the toilet hand Phoeni so she will become infatuated with Crawlin and then that ending would happen too. I guess they didn't want to have you get 10 gratitude crystals from that one quest and have it so both are satisfied while Crawlin gets tormented by the toilet hand forever.

you question about the sun I think is more related to astrophysics not meteorology. Meteorology is the study of weather, which seems bit confusing because 'sunny' is a type of word we use to describe the weather when there are no clouds and such, but when taking about the position of the sun relative to earth that get's way more into Astrophysics like the earth's gravitational and magnetic fields, combined with the Sun's own gravitational forces. Astrophysics is also the study of how we see stars in the night sky. For example, we can only see certain consolations or things like the Aurora Borealis during certain times of the year due to the position of the sun and the earth, and I believe also the Moon? But yes, you would only get a perfect beam of light through a mirror for only a few minutes. I think an easy way to test this without a mirror would be to observe something like a flag pole or light pole and watch it's shadow throughout the day, you'll notice the shadow moves positions as the day goes by, this wouldn't due to the weather but more about the position/rotation of the planet(s) (Earth, the moon and the sun)

Its my favorite game too. I think the graphics have been improved quite a lot if you compare the old wii version and the switch. And the watercolor artstyle did age quite well. I would have been happier if they added some extra content or something. It would have made this game much better than what it already is.

The side quest for the Lumpy Pumpkin that requires you to play the harp is so far the most annoying thing about this remake. It took me I do not know how many tries before the game finally accepted that I was following the so-called rhythm, and that was only when I finally got so mad, nearly quit, and settled on rolling the right analog stick from right-to-left, left-to-right, ignoring both of the idiots most of the time.
