Isle of Wight Cavy Club show 2023. - Melanie Oulton Judging guinea pigs

We took a small team of Teddies and Crested guinea pigs to the Isle of Wight Show this summer and here is a short video of how we got on under the skilful judge Melanie Oulton
I was asked to judge the fun classes, which had some gorgeous guinea pigs in.
And it was great to see Toni Angel at the judging table having fun judging the pets

The Isle of Wight show is a big journey for me, 2 hour car plus a ferry, but the show is so well run and friendly that I keep going back for more lol

I have watched a few of your videos and you mention 'bold eye'. Is that when the guinea pig looks like they are begging for treats with that cute look? What makes a bold eye from a show pig point of view?

Ah yes, a bold eye is when the eye is round rather than oval shaped and it is bright and healthy looking, I find it really sets a Guinea pig off and makes them look their best
