Diesel car? Point of view driver's eye along single track railway line through the countryside. Merstone. Signalman walks towards us then up the steps to his signal box. Crowded platform. Level crossing opens as if we are a car waiting to cross the road. Steam train passes, shot from a bridge. Newchurch. Level crossing. Man opens gates of a crossing to allow the train to pass. A young porter, probably 14 year old, poses in his cap.
