An excellent episode with an excellent host and guest. Very refreshing to hear new perspectives, Masha’allah.

Im glad you are having these convos. The aqeedah debates are so misplaced as there are so many bigger issues in the ummah.

MashAllah Maulvi sahibs.. don't fear the haters and tell people about the urgent need for madrassah reforms.. it's a big issue that many think about but too few practically doing anything... I wish the heads of the madaaris had more bravery to see the truth and make the changes...

Darululoom medium of instruction remains in Urdu for 2nd 3rd generation south Asian Muslims who mostly don’t speak Urdu. I believe that focusing on Arabic would be much more beneficial.

Masha'Allah, this video was insightful! You should also invite Shaykh Muhammad Sahil from Oxford. He's an educationalist with a background in psychology, and runs a local Islamic institute. His insights would be valuable.

Jazakallah Khair for sharing this. I would recommend the host observes the interviewing style of Br Mohammad Jalal on Thinking Muslim. The host shouldn't comment as much with his own opinions and commentary, and let the guest do 98% of the talking. The hosy should limit himself to questions.

Brother ʿAbdul Majid, for God’s sake man, let your guest fully express his thought. I get times you are dying to make a point but if the guest constantly sees in your face see that as soon as he attempts an answer or gets around to his point you are fidgeting and huffing to add a point or qualify, it’s very patronising and irritating; bro why don’t you just make a separate episode where you talk yourself. Some speakers simply talk a bit slower and want to be more thoughtful and pause during speech; the pauses are not an invitation for you to take over. I say this with love for your future podcasts.

To get his point of view about education and a model where we can take from both Darul Ulooms and also universities We can agree to disagree but it's always good to open a dialogue and hear people's views to come to a middle path
