You're completely misunderstanding the situation based on stereotypes. You're only discussing what you saw, without doing any research. In a 30-minute video, more than two-thirds of the time was spent on her talking about him, with the rest focusing on what he had. She was describing this to her mother, so of course she would mention his financial and asset status. Women very often struggle to secure even average-paying jobs in America, so it's understandable that they might seek a partner who can provide a life that's difficult to achieve on their own. It's hypocritical to criticize women for wanting a good life when everyone desires the same. Men have clear preferences for their ideal partners, so why can't women have the same? It's unfair to be selective about looks but not wealth. While you can't significantly change your appearance, wealth can change dramatically and quickly. This attitude reveals a lot about your character, and it isn't flattering.

Every time I come across this video, it cracks me up! I married a man like this: 1000 percent self-sufficient. He can do everything a human needs to do except surgery. He gardens, fixes our cars, builds walls, runs electricity, he paints, does roofing, cooks, bakes, sews, hunts, goes fishing, does laundry, brushes our daughters' hair, wrestles with our boys, changes diapers, etc... and he is kind, not just nice, he's genuinely kind and will come rescue whenever necessary. His parents were successful at raising boys into productive, generous, protective, supportive men who are fun to be around and have a strong work ethic who could absolutely choose to marry out of want rather than need. My brother is like this, too. Media does a good job of portraying the standard make as helpless and intellectually challenged, but fully capable men are everywhere. But, if you're not used to seeing that, particularly in someone under 30, it makes complete sense to be utterly amazed and sound baffled and bewildered. She's absolutely wondering how this is possible. It isn't about the car or the house. It's about how capable and responsible he is in order to have that car and to have that house that he is also remodeling all on his own. Being impressed is a natural response. Especially since most women find stability and security of paramount importance. ANYWAY... I love this video. She's so cute telling about her evening. She must often have animated stories for Mama to know she should pull out her phone. I'm so glad she did. It's a fun video!

@@TheMightyGoldenWest women like stability. We are the ones that create children and feel the most responsible for them normally. Bringing into the world a child in an unstable environment brings us no joy. Having a man that can help us bring stability and plans for a family is always welcome. Pregnancy and maternity are unstable grounds, mom and baby can die, become sick, develop PPD, have complications, etc. Having the reassurance that the man can provide, be a support and help is the biggest relief. We cannot do it all as women, we have many shoes to fill, and having a guy so ready to be a father reassures us that he will not leave to get milk in the future. It's biological.

Half of this was talking about all the hard work he put into his basement. Barn doors are hard to install, the car requires hard work just to get, never mind maintaining it(which clearly he takes time to do since she chose the word “beautiful” to describe it). She’s complimenting his work ethic and the fact that of all this stuff he has, he’s still just a sweet respectful dude who wanted to share the fruits of his hard work with her…and clearly she appreciates it cuz she’s practically crying from how sweet and innocent it all was. And before you hop on the whole “i can get used to living like this” bit, thats called a joke. Plenty of men are just like him, plenty of girls are just like her. I like how she was able to appreciate that man endlessly and recognized his talent and and the quality that he has. A lot of women would have take things for granted. edit: I don't see how she is a gold digger she was just appreciating how amazingly talented that man was and he was respectful. It is true that in the US with the expensive labor cost home renovation cost a fortune. He could make a lot of money if that's what he is doing for work and that's good for him. However, she what's excited because she can see the future with this guy . If his child want a swing, slide, treehouse trampoline, I bet you that guy can make it himself and save a lot of money too. The apartment that he was renovating in the basement could be a man cave, a in-law suites or a rental. Let's be real you can't raise no kid without no money. That guy is a husband material and would be a great father. If she thinks a 2021 car is brand new I do not consider her materialistic.

That's how i felt about my husband when we started dating too. He was a whole new breed of man, not bitter, jaded or depressing to be around, just focused on his life and building his future for the family he wanted.. i was a senior in college and it brought out the feminine side of me. I started packing lunches and waking up early to make breakfast. I would care for him when he's sick, take him on dates, make him homemade gifts etc.. not because he ever had to ask, but because i wanted to build a life with this man. To this day he doesn't lift a finger for things he wants and i dont lift a finger for anything i want.. we just living and loving ❤️
