If you understood hitboxes, you would know that there is a separate hitbox for spikes and blocks. This means the big hitbox for the wave is for collisions with spikes and the smaller one is for block collisions. Since the hitboxes are different for spikes and slopes/blocks, they need to be not lined up exactly with each other. This is seen especially in big wave parts, since the miniwave’s hitbox for blocks and spikes are nearly the same, that means that the mini wave parts look more accurate.

Yeah but there's one point where you literally go through a wall And the fact that when a saw is surrounded by slopes, it isn't even in the center

It also seems REALLY inconsistent, There are some spikes' hitboxes that are way further/closer to the slopes' hitboxes
