A Fans view of Slip Away Paris 2002, slip away is a wistful, nostalgic look back from aging Bowie to happy memories of himself and iggy pop & John Lennon living in new York and watching the uncle Floyd children's tv show. Bowie typically wholly embraces childhood themes, whilst simultaneously obsessing about childhood and death. in tone the song is passionate and mournful, a heartfelt expression of tenderness to old or lost friends "how I wonder where you are" and for happy days gone by. bowie shows beautiful tenderness and concern for a distressed friend "whats the matter with you". the following phrase "come on, lets go and slip away" This may be a drug reference, in the sense of, "don't be sad, lets get stoned and have a laugh". beautiful song. even better live, check it out. incredibly passionate performance on this live version. gorgeous. I just love when he at 3:20, "What's the matter with you, come on lets go, slip away" So much emotion and even to anger. I feel what he is feeling aging, memories, childhood, old friends now gone and then pondering about death in this remake song, Thank you for reading. Would love to hear some feedback. Love out to all you Bowie fans! And don't forget to keep your head warm! 💜🤩😭😱😡🎡

sgbart, NO it won't. Not him. He was with us way to long. It's not gotten better for me, only worse. He was only 69. And how does such a man die of liver cancer??? No transplant available for him?? He could have had 1/2 of mine for God's sake. I have rare blood 2nd most rare. He was not old in todays standards. 75 yrs is the standard now a days. OMG Love Bowie and I am crying now. Oh and do you see at 3:20 when he is singing "What's the matter with you, come on lets go" he looks like he is ready to fight? Do you see it too. I need you to tell me please if you see it as I do. Thanks in advance for your reply back. Dusty the 2nd.

Que pena este homem não estar mais entre nós para cantar suas belas canções. Espero que nos céus, ele esteja cantando com os anjos.
