This song reminds me of my late husband so much. He passed last year in late April. I always cry to this song, not only for my Donnie but for David Bowie as well. They both slipped away from me. The Uncle Floyd Show was on a small New Jersey station every weekday. It was the definition of punk rock tv for those that got what they were trying to do. Bowie watched it religiously, as did Iggy, Lennon, The Ramones (Who were on the show), etc.

this song was actually written about the uncle floyd show. it was broadcasted here out of jersey where i live. Bowie was a guest on the show at one point and became friends with uncle Floyd. he also really enjoyed watching the show. i grew up on it myself.
