There’s so much tastiness to consume here as a bassist, that was impossible to pick up from the full track, and even hearing it live. (Saw this tour in a one off super small club gig) Just shows how much innovation and nuance Burton brought to the table, and gives insight into his approach to writing. Rather than simply slaving the guitar rhythms, we get to see how he sometimes very subtly would play around within the rhythm framework to add a completely unique extra layer to the song. Dude was so much more than what we hear on the surface of the mix.🤘🏻
