New pairing takes some getting used to, but I can't wait to see how it unfolds. One week in, I can see they're building some great storylines. Al lot of gaps still to fill (where some characters are and what happened in "2 years", but I'm glad neighbours is back.

I find it funny that Alan is talking about how Jason remembers everything about the show going back decades but yet every time he messes around with legacy storylines he makes a mess of things...he allows the writers to unnecessarily contradict everything that happened before and create huge unnecessary plot holes. Even Dee's return contradicted stuff that was established just a couple of years previous with the fake Dee stuff. And isn't Shane the writer who was responsible for the diabolical Tanaka retcon?? Nuff said!! That storyline could have worked without contradicting literally everything that happened in that first year of the show...but he decided not to bother and Jason was okay about that.

I don't like the silly twist...not keen on the new show at all, tbh. It doesn't feel the same, it's like an alternate universe. Two years into the future but all the kids are 5 years older and they seem to still be in the present day. Makes no sense. I'm just hoping, in a few weeks, Harold will wake up and we'll discover all this is a silly fever dream, he's having.
