i am so glad that Sam and Melissa are sharing not only Sams story but helping others who need help with leveling a group such a the Davis county Co-op, Flds and the rest you are an inspiration to people like me who has never seen let alone heard about this kinda stuff. i pray things keep going for holding out hope so they can get not only their GED or what ever they need. when im back on my feet i will donate to help them out in honor of my dearly departed daughter in law who is gone.

Firstly... Super secret but.. I never had kids but if I did, and if I had a girl, I wanted to name her Emilia and call her Emma. Love that name. Secondly... What a freaking AMAZING organization and cause! I appreciate everyone involved, including all three in this interview! Lastly... I've worked in social services for over ten years and, particularly because I live in Utah, I've encountered many people who were formerly FLDS or LSD and I can say that I've witnessed firsthand several times what's organizations like HOH are so impactful and lifesaving. I'm a big believer that it takes a village to be a human and without HOH a lot of people would drown,so to speak. They are a life raft for people who leave... But also for those who stay and all those in between.

Just curious as to whether this non profit has an angle where these women with multiple children are helped in going after the father of those children to legally gain monetary support? That would really help them to not feel like they need to go back into such a group in order to simply feed and clothe their children. I realize there is a lot of times not a good paper trail as to just who these children 'are', and compelling these men to take DNA tests for matching the kids should be fairly simple. I was married at 16, but fortunately to a man with decency (we're still married) and who has always taken care of his children. I believe these polygamous men should 100% be forced to step up to the plate in these cases.

If we donate will it actually get to people who need it or just there managers and there rent and bills .. I wanna help the individuals leaving not an organisation that will be cashing in .. I would rather donate to you and then u can use the money as fit .. I just donated 300 pound to my friend who is lds and he is helping the homeless over in idaho Rexburg as we did half each .. but every now and again when I have bonuses from work I tithe and then give it away to ppl that need it
