Ya know, if you really don't want to risk democratic Germany screwing up this week, just go into custom setup settings and switch Germany to historical. you can still earn achievements if you turn off historical ai, but set some nations to historical

I accidentally left AI historical focuses off. Started playing as Japan. Had the weirdest game where Japan and America had to defend against world Facism. USSR sat on the sidelines whilst China got lend leases by Italy, Fascist Britain and Monarch Germany and were a superpower within themselves. Wondering what the fuck was happening. After I realised AI historical focuses off, I've always left it off.

The most chaos I ever had was with a Cuba mod, for whatever reason they immediately went fascist or communist and declared war on every S.A country. That got the allies involved early game and when I went to go "resolve" the war, everyone was involved. Not one country wasn't tied to Cuba being an asshole. Or the more interesting runs is restoring the monarchies of some nations and letting the rest go communist to see what happens, usually chaos but could make a good video imo. So theres this thing with the ahistorical button where the game will still try to balance out the game if certain nations do certain things (For example britain may go fascist if germany goes democratic or whatever) So if you want it to be TRULY wacky on ahistorical you should try to manually change every nations ideology/path in the game rules to random so you suffer even more on ahistorical
