Fun fact about czechoslovakia industry branch. Even thought the left side has the military factory icon, it only gives you civilians. So ur always better off going mid path to get rid of the debuff

You get more civs going left side, so if you're going communist which has its own focus to remove the debuff (followed by a focus to get 5% recruitable population), then it's better to go for the left path. Everyone else should probably go center though.

The last time I played Czechoslovakia was historical, with the *Expert AI mod* in challenging mode: so the AI actually does sane decisions (like not attacking into tiles with many forts), good divisions, good planes even...and biggest of all, *building forts on the frontline*. It took me until like 1952 I think to capitulate Germany. Germany didn't go to war with Poland or the Allies so it was me alone for most of the war. It's such a struggle

Czechoslovakia's focus tree isn't that bad, it just lacks any interesting paths. A monarchist tree where it reunites Austria-Hungary or maybe even tries to remake the HRE would be fun, if predictable. A Fash path where they try to achieve pan-Slavism would be far better than the puppet path. Just throwing ideas out though.

Yesterday I was rigged of the development of my game and hockey was on, so I was like... lets play CS for the fun of it. Goal is to develop fortreses all arround the border, spam 70 divisions. How to do that? Industrial legacy => united population, export focus to get factories output, fortification study. Once on 7 lvl, add 3 more levels to the most exposed provinces.You can have up to 45 divisions fully prepared on the border with germany in the begining of 38. Then one of three thinks is going to happen - germany will attack and loose as they cannot penetrate borders and you just take berlin and its over. Germany ignores you, go for poland in 39, destroy it and france and invide you from the east together with hungary. Very bad scenario, as you are not able to get great forticiation in slovakia in 39. You get invited to allies as poland is attacked and you are able to handle it. You got several months before CCCP invides you. Anyway it is fun seing czech tanks rule over berlin and moscow... dont know what is so bad about that :)
