@Homebody Heaven The INFJ designation is part of 16 personality types based on Myers-Briggs theories. Do a search and you'll find a LOT of info. :) Here's a link to one of many online tests based on the original Myers-Briggs test: www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test btw, I long ago identified as INFJ and definitely felt a sense of relief. I've always felt like a misfit and the sense of relief came from realizing there seems to be a reason, since that personality type is one that's not as prevalent as some of the others. Good luck in your searching!
@sandrapihlskott32626 жыл бұрын
Could be that you are. I believe that I am and I feel the same way. (But not misfit, we are not!) Take the Myer Briggs personality test or listen to some videos to find out in which description you feel most at home. I find it so great just to know that there are others like myself!

Homebody Heaven I’m an ENFP, and I feel the same way. I think it’s an NF thing, especially for introverts (my Introverted Feeling is through the roof even if I’m an Extrovert) because they spend more time analyzing and comprehending concepts that no Sensor focuses on. Sometimes it drives me nuts when I talk to my friends about the littlest thing (to me), because they say, “No, stop that, if you keep being so deep I’m going to have an existential crisis here and now.” I’m still in high school, but ever since freshman year opened up I haven’t stopped asking kids and teachers the deepest questions... and not getting too meaningful answers. I swear, are other NFs so hard to find??

But i have no problem with that because i can share those ideas with my friends, too. What makes him so great is that he might not understand me on a deep level, but on a very basic, essential one. I feel very grounded in reality through his understanding of that neglected part of me. Personally, i think that we are opposites that complement each other, he thinks that we‘re are similar, which is very cute of him, because obviously my being different doesn’t matter to him. He feels related to me, because i don’t exploit his kindness - and i respect him exactly for that kindness that he gives to this world in an extraverted way and a hands on mentality.

I need someone similar. I need someone quiet. I don't want to be dragged out when I say I need time and quiet. I also find it helpful to have someone who is intuitive. I do not have the time for linear thinking patterns in my home life and need someone who can think creatively. I also "think" intuitive people think outside the box and are creative a little more than less intuitive types. Not saying that people who are less intuitive are not as interesting because they certainly are. I just need someone who can access their imagination at will and be creative with me. I also find it pleasing to take care of the mundane aspect of the housework as it makes me feel like I am taking care of my other half and my animals. It's a way I say, "I love you and want to make sure your needs are cared for".

I'm an INTJ dating an INFJ, and it's working really well. Since we share the same dominant function we are fundamentally similar in a way that we both really appreciate (especially considering the rarity of our types), but with different auxiliary and tertiary functions, we approach the rest of the world and other people slightly differently, which I think is good for both of us. I remind him that sometimes we need to prioritise ourselves and not care so much about other people's opinions, while he reminds me that sometimes other people's needs should come before our own. Furthermore, our fundamental similarities give us a shared framework within which we can process our differences, and learn to understand and appreciate them. We understand one another, even when we approach things with slightly different perspectives and methods. Generally speaking, I think finding someone who has the same higher perceiving function as yourself is a good idea. You can compromise when it comes to decision-making, but you can't really compromise with the way you think and the way you perceive the world, and finding someone who perceives the world similarly will probably save you a lot of conflict. I wouldn't wanna date someone who didn't have Ni as their primary or auxiliary function, or mayyyybe as their tertiary, if well-developed. I think I'd clash too much with someone with high Ne or Si, or primary Se. The Thinking-Feeling combo and placement are less important to me.

Im an INTP and my sister is an INTJ. From what I have seen and read INTJ’s tend to be more isolationist but once you get to know them they’re fun and like to be structured so try not to mess with their balance. INTPs usually reserved and don’t like superficial relationships. If you catch their attention they’re going to want to know you on a profound level. INTPs don’t usually find people who get them so when you know them in a personal level they hold you closer in their hearts than you may ever know. Creatively explosive conversations and competitive games are fun :) I recommend INTJs though because INTP’s do whatever interests them in the moment and INTJs are predictable and organized so its less to worry about. (Why do I feel like I’m a salesman advertising🤷🏻♂️)
Great video. I can fully attest to what you say. I’ve been married 10 years and just found out that we are both INFJs. I did not tell my husband what I was until after he took the test. Because are so similar, it does cause resentment when, for example, things need to get done and no one takes the initiative, and one of us (usually me), has to take the lead. I believe you do need a difference somewhere to help each other grow.

@@medusa6429 Yeah, that is a possibility, or he ranked low on judgement, he could very well be an INFP who is only slightly border-line, many INFJs mistype on tests. The relationship between an INFP and an INFJ is great, except that INFP does a lot better with ENFP or INTJs, due to wanting someone else to take the initiative for them. Dated an INFP with leanings towards INTP, and it was a complete disaster, the guy never wanted to take the actions, it was hard for him being a male INFP. Being a Pisces INFP, I felt that I was expected to make moves on him instead, because I'm a Leonine INFJ, so he couldn't make decisions and he was flaky, wishy-washy fishy. It was so annoying, because he was trapped in the Dream World of his Mind, and he couldn't get out of his head, since that is a serious INFP problem. Hopefully, they took another Test, they aren't all that accurate, he probably just got the wrong results, or he lacks some self-esteem/self-confidence. It does tend to bother women when we have to take the action initiative and do a man's work for him, men are usually more prone to being action-oriented. Hopefully, you didn't end up in a relationship with another Feminine Energy, because someone has to have the Masculine Energy in a relationship... Although, we all have both energies, someone has to be more action-driven and the other has to be more passive-supportive in the relationship. Friction is caused if you're really not comfortable in your role, unless he is just lacking in confidence, and needs some emotional push/support to force him to be more manly.
@neriacassandrapalmes46195 жыл бұрын
Lol, I'm just gonna say that INFJs fit more with INTPs. My male bestfriend is an INTP and we get along alot! I mostly spend my time with him because we have lots of ideas to talk about. We're really talkative about what the future would be like and we just drift ourselves to daydreaming with hundreds of Arthur or Harry Potter books to discuss. Some people might think the personality is weird but atleast I find it quite comfortable.
@snowflakestarprincessakiko60134 жыл бұрын
Kind of, but not really, INTPs have extremely low emotional empathy at times, and that lack of any emotional bond can kill an INFJ. You have to find a mature/healthy one who actually has a higher EQ, or they'll suck the life out of the INFJ empath. If the INTP is addicted to negative/toxic life styles or is addictd to video games and the Internet, that will kill the INFJ. Since, it is so easy for the OCD/ADD INTP to become fixated on WIkipedia/Documentaries on KZbin/Reddit/etc. It is hard to even have a relationship with one. They can spend all of their time ignoring and neglecting the INFJ, because all they do is play Online, and they can't leave their computer/house to have any actual life. Dated a guy that was an INTP like INFP, but he was kind of cross hybrid, because he seemed to be more emotional based and human than this INTP robot here. Still liked all of the computer stuff, and cancelled practically all of our dates, never spent any time with me during our relationship, and only wanted to hide in his room all the time. Couldn't stand the fact that he never cared to do anything with me, this INFJ girl is dying for some romance, and desperately wants a guy who actually cares to be with me.

I've dated quite a bit for an accrued time of many, many years and I only ever missed one date in my life (my power went out and my alarm didn't go off because of it). I believe in the idea that opposite traits are great for compatibility. I was biased against sensors thinking I wouldn't be able to have meaningful conversations unless I dated an intuitive. I tended to date INFPs, but their Ne always read things into what I was saying that weren't there. When I started dating an ISFP (my super ego type and compete opposite) all the mental competition left and she took my words at face value dropping pressure and allowed our relationship to breathe. What I lost in intensity I gained in mutual respect for the other's skills that were alien to my personality stack.

Honestly, I adapt so well to others, I think I’d be able to have a decent relationship with almost any type (I’ve been with INTP, ISFJ, and an ESTP) but I admit there’s some differences that greatly stop me from going long-term like how much I can share my ideas without them zoning out. I understand I can be a bit…intense, but it’s pretty hurtful when my partner can’t be bothered to listen at all. The only people I truly feel I can talk to like that are my INTP cousins, an INTJ friend, and this XNFJ guy I had a massive crush on (but never got anywhere). The conversations are always interesting and can keep going for ages. My current partner is an ISTJ and though he’s a good listener, I can tell there’s also a limit before he wants out of the conversation. We process things so differently we clash a lot in some aspects, but I still appreciate his openness to discussing things until we come to an agreement. So even with all its setbacks, it’s the healthiest and most balanced relationship I’ve had.

As an INFJ I want someone who's an extrovert because I want to absorb their fun side of life, but sometimes I want an introvert (someone who's similar to me) because we share common interests & he'll easily understand me. I don't know how to choose, maybe that's the reason why I'm still single right now. 😑

That's what makes ENFPs so great; we're the most introverted of the extroverts. Takes some of us a little while to mature and calm down...but when we get there, we're gold. 😉

One problem I have found with choosing someone who is "like you" NF's...... is that idealists tend to read each other too deeply and easily. This can cause you to feel like you have no where to hide. We all need space sometimes within a relationship and when you can both read each others motives emotions etc it can in and of itself lead to conflict.

@library of dragons I agree that it is important to spend time apart. As an ENFP, I love my alone time as much as any introvert and spend most of time playing guitar, gaming, watching videos, or reading about interesting things. At the same rate, I have met high strung ENFPs that are very dependent on others and don't know when to stop talking. There are obviously other variables such as maturity, core values, and having common interests to be met in a partner.

@library of dragons We are idealists and adventurous in the theoretical/abstract sense. The things that make us think deeply and creatively are what excites us. I am dating another INFJ and she was raised in a similar culture and we share the same faith and politics on top of it. We are both deep people who have no use for superficiality and shallowness and we are both communicative!. I don't know about me, but she is intelligent and interesting(I think she is just being nice when she talks about me). I under the potential for disaster(huge disaster) with two INFJ's who don't share the same world views/core values and two INFJ’s in a relationship will either be a match made in heaven, or something you may never recover from because they knew you the deepest, they understood you, and it still didn’t work(because of different core values/not enough similarities and not enough work on strengthening typical INFJ weaknesses)- but our relationship is unbelievable. We ARE confirmed INJF's but we are both analytical, logical, objective, practical, reasonable and easygoing(except when easygoing isn't appropriate, neither one of us are afraid to confront others). Think of a lively, warm, emotional(in a positive sense), passionate Mr. Spock(from Star Trek). We have both worked on strengthening the inherent weaknesses of INJF's in ourselves before we ever met. We relate on a level that is almost supernatural. We get along almost seamlessly . We understand and comprehend each other as well or better than ourselves and the similarities we share in personality traits, beliefs and opinions are eerie. We always communicate and never shrink from resolving issues, never avoid discussing differences of opinion when they do occur, but in a year and a half we have never had a fight. This stems from our similarities but also from being real, genuine and sincere people and not seeking our own well being first; our strong inclination to meet each other’s needs creates a healthy balance of give and take. Thanks to our auxiliary function of Extroverted Feeling (Fe), my INFJ partner and I have a knack for taking into account the emotional needs of others and we utilize it and apply it to our relationship. That said, my observations of people putting themselves first in any type of friendship/relationship have only deepened my appreciation for my INFJ significant other, who, without thinking twice, seeks to fulfill my needs just as often as I do hers.

I'm an INFJ and my SO of over 2 yrs is an INTJ. My 1st girlfriend was an INFP and my second was likely an ESFP. My INTJ's by far my best match. Even though our introverted intuition is influenced by different cognitive functions, we easily understand each others pattern recognition observations. We both like to dive deep into various subject matter and we both enjoy Se activities together. I've always wanted a partner that has a good understanding of me. She also recently told me, that I'm the 1 person that understands her the best. To be honest though, I think MBTI matchmaking theory is kind of flawed. It's said that ENFP and ENTP our are best matches. Although I have successfully teamed up w/ both of those types for college and music projects, I've never felt drawn to them romantically.
@snowflakestarprincessakiko60134 жыл бұрын
I feel like they are wrong with that myself, they are great friends/parents, they are perfect mentors for an INFJ, but the worst for a romantic relationship partner. My INTJ is everything that I've always wanted and needed, but Extroverts like ENFP and ENTP are just so high in energy that it is exhausting. I couldn't take that energy drain in my life. Only, the INTJ understands how important rest and relaxation is, that it is nice to simply just lie back and chill watching television with someone, and enjoying the sunset outside. To gaze out at the moon, and the night stars, I love moon-watching and star-gazing after all, the lovely trees and the fields of flowers. Extroverts are just way to active for me.

I lived with my ENTP friend for a month, and it was a terrible experience. I live off and on with my INTJ, and it’s super easygoing. I guess we could all want something different though. An introvert who is also open to see the world & experience possibly all that it can offer. Intuitive but also uses rationality. May be a thinker, but isn't all wrap up in one's head all day long; rather, enjoys life's pleasures too. Maybe, not everyone fully fit in 1 box or just 1 box. As for compatibility, I agree w/ openness. But I also think, alike ppl may not necessarily be boring together, if both enjoy travelling or taking on adventures for example, I believe that ain't boring at all 😅😃
@snowflakestarprincessakiko60134 жыл бұрын
We're the only personality that is completely 50%/50% balanced between analytical thoughts and feelings. We're unique in this, we don't go one way or the other. Even INTJs are completely thought-based first and foremost (even when deeply passionate), but INFJs are feelers who are pretty much completely centered with our minds. Some couples are okay with being boring, but they don't have any growth in their lives, I see an ISTJ and ESFJ here, that are completely perfectly complacent and status quo. They seem to love their lives, but they don't do anything, their lives revolve around their jobs and watching reality tv shows together. They don't go on adventures or leave the house. As two healthy enough individuals, they spend all of their time indoors, and almost never do anything, because they are just happy and familiar/comfortable in their marriage. That is not a life this INFJ girl wants to ever live, for me a marriage like that is insanely boring, I'd want to travel and go on endless adventures, I'd never be happy watching tv like that. Living like robots, I can tell that the ESFJ has deep anger and resentment stemming from his childhood, that he never resolved with his dead parents/sister, and his living brother. He seems to be deeply emotionally tortured by the past, and can't seem to ever be happy, because all he does is watch television every single day/night. That living and working in his own home seem to be making it worse, and he has no friends to go and hang out with, I bet he might be agonizing over his older brother who doesn't like him. It is tragic just watching this scenario play out daily, since he seems to have no ability to fix his emotional imbalance or his life, he just prefers to do nothing every day as it gets worse. Also, it feels like he probably has hidden emotional distress over not connecting to his daughter and son better, because his son is an INTP, and his daughter has mental issues. He seems to be losing control of his emotions as an ESFJ, and uses food to comfort himself, because I worry that he needs to visit a Psychiatrist, and get some Therapy. Of course INTP and ESFJ can't connect, they are the complete polar opposite mirror reflection of each other! ~ Does he feel angry because he can't have a better father-son bond? That his son is entirely unlike him? That his daughter doesn't love/care about either of her parents? She is a Narcissistic Asocial person, who doesn't know how to develop emotions and love for her parents, and has never had a romantic date/relationship in 41 years of her life so far. Being full of unresolved rage/resentment and past childhood trauma, yet, not even bothering to fix any of it, and neither of them ever leave the house to travel/adventure in their lives.

@snowflakestarprincessakiko60134 жыл бұрын
This is even more in-depth and accurate however, as a Leo that is somewhat near Cancer, I'm in love with a Scorpio, but I dated a Pisces and it was a disaster. Capricorns can tend to be incredibly toxic and pessimistic (especially the males!), every male Capricorn I've known is a depressing negative influence! ~ Yet, female Capricorns tend to be awesome and strong, self-sufficient and independent women, I just feel that they lack any emotional passion for the most part in life. My Capricorn friend is a female INTJ, so of course she has passion for her career, her children, and her husband, you just don't see that often if you're not any of those 3. This Leo I know here is completely unlike me, she has 4 planets in Capricorn, and she is an ISTJ, meanwhile I'm an INFJ, completely different and lacking in any emotional expression. Despite being a fiery Leonine woman, she never seems to show off passion and excitement for anything in her life, and is living like a robot. ISTJs are known for being the least excitable people, to INTJs being the most, and it is very strange to see her live her life so robot-like, with mundane routine tasks. Bores the living daylights out of me, but she is happy and doesn't seem to care to do anything else in her life than this. There are so many differences that Myer's Briggs can talk about that Astrology can't, and one person is very much unlike the other! ~ Some Aquarians/Sagittarians seem to never get along with this Leo, and yet others online seem to be pretty awesome and cool people on KZbin. Astrology claimed that Libra was great with Leo, and that Scorpio was mixed results, but I find that INTJ is all that matters, Libra INTP doesn't work, Pisces INFP/INTP doesn't work. Yet, I'm praying to the heavens and the spirits of the universal cosmos, that INTJ Scorpio will finally work, because this INFJ lady wants to have her Soul Mate and Divine Love ~

INTJs are the Best Soul Mates ever, ENTPs don't work well because they are closer to ESTPs, our exact polar mirror reflection opposites. The INFPs and ENFPs are great, and ESFPs are fun, but they probably won't work, because most Introverts can't stand strong Extroversion. ENFPs are the most Introverted Extroverts. If you want an Extrovert, you try the ENFPs, but ENTP might work, it is just that they are known to be bullies, that is just how they act in love. See the ENFPs are Feelers, they understand emotions and feelings, but ENTPs run away from their emotions, they don't like feelings, they truly don't, bullying is their way of flirting. When they Bully You, it just means that they either love you, or they care about your self-improvement as a buddy/friend, but this annoys the living daylight sout of us INFJs. Being Empaths we're to sensitive for their bully antics (usually), unless we're closer to our shadow-work demonic side ESTP flip reversal and darker gothic INFJs. Now, ENTP works great with ENFPs and INTJs, and great friend/debate partners with INTPs, because they need people who don't get so sensitive and emotional like an Empath does. Unfortunately, they are well known for bullying and constantly picking on INFPs/ISFPs, and although not as bad as the ESTJs are, they do have close similarities shared with ENTJs. Much like the ENTJ, they have minions, they are bosses/authority figures, they love to boss people around, and telling others what to do, which is what INTJ and INFJs both despise. We hate it when they tell us what to do, we're far to self-sufficient and independent to be obeying anyone else, despite what the ENTP believes, so we can't stand them sometimes.

He is really forgiving towards me when Im being so emotional as a woman so do I forgiving him since I love him, we learn to control our anger and emotion towards each other and compromising. But the interesting thing is that when we took MBTI test couple times, I got INTJ twice and my fiance got INTJ once as well, idk if it has something to do with our compatibility or if its just how we just loves each other. Ik its hard for him to let me go and so do I, we never think of it anyway as it is hard for both of us to actually falling in love with someone, well tmi..

I am a quite private person so I would rarely fully commit. If I do, I would never leave you anyways so it is quite a big deal.
@snowflakestarprincessakiko60134 жыл бұрын
The spectrum makes us close to ISFJs and INFPs, but the problem is, unless they are the right place on their personality spectrum, it just won't work. You might try so many factors, and the person is just completely wrong for you in all ways. So yeah, it can work, but it usually won't most likely. It is just hard to get an INFP out of their head, they daydream their lives away, and it might take a stronger Extrovert than any INFJ to pull the mout of that inner world of theirs. INFPs go perfectly with their fellow type ENFPs or ENTPs, even ESTPs at times I'd imagine, or even ENTJs, they'd just need a strong Extrovert to pull them out of their Introversion. Although, ESFPs might be far to much drama for the INFP harmonious daydreamers, and ESTPs can be trouble-makers for sure, they really do appreciate a strong Extroverted person. Meanwhile, us INFJs usually can't stand a strong Extroverted person, and much like our kindred spirit soul-mate INTJs, we tend to have serious issues with ESXX's. Extroverted Sensors can be the worst, urghh, and although ISFJs aren't as bad as ESFJs, I seriously can't stand ESFJs and ESTPs... That Sensor part is a huge problem for me, and most INFJs, because they can't understand us at all, even though we want Harmony and we desire to be people-pleasers. The ESFJs/ESTPs are usually extremely abusive and cruel to us INFJs, because they don't understand how we work, so they can be very loud/obnoxious/shout/yell at us. Along with ESTJs who are terrifying, and downright scare the living daylights out of me, they tend to be overly emotional people who can't control their anger/rage issues. They harbor resentments towards other people in their lives, and take it out on the poor little scapegoat INFJs (if no INFP/ISFPs are around to bully/shout at anyway). For them, the world is a completely different and opposite place than it is for us, since ESTP is our exact polar opposite shadow-side demonic function, lowest cognitive abilities. They are our reversal, the way we become when we are toxic and deranged, our shadow-selves in the mirror reflection, so they can't understand us whatsoever. ESTPs tend to have serious problems working on self-improvement, and get stuck in toxic immature bad habits and low dark energy vibes, which we INFJs can't stand at all. Nearly the entirely opposite anti-empath, they can't understand how sensitive and vulnerable we are on a spiritual energy based level, of having to absorb all energy in our vicinity.

Yeah, ENFPs always attract/want to find either INFJs or INTJs. However, INFJ/INTJs also attract each other, and who knows what he is thinking/feeling. He is doing that same ghosting/vanishing act that INFPs do now? Maybe, he is mis-typed and is an INFP, or he has immaturity/emotional baggage relationship issues. Remember, many people are actually incorrectly typed on the Test, some INFJs are actually INFPs, and they are notoriously bad at ghosting people! ~ However, INFJs can do the same thing, it is just we usually do the door slam and say goodbye permanently, instead of continuously ghosting you like an INFP. This is due to our judgmental function, he might be low on J, and is acting indecisively like an INFP instead. Unless, he is really just lacking in self-confidence or something. He might be harmonious, and is afraid of hurting your, or is in some bad mood where he wants alone time, that he is worried about lowing his INFJ barriers. We build thousands of walls, and we never want to let anyone in, he might have emotional issue intimacy fears and anxieties, he might be overly neurotic, etc. Only thing you can do is be patient and pray/hope/try your best efforts, because everyone has their own issues in life, and it is hard for anyone who isn't an INFJ to see through them. If he is building walls, and maintaining to many barriers, he might have had a bad life/bad childhood experiences, he'll have to be a slower relationship for you. We don't start relationships unless we truly feel that the person is worth it, we only want marriage material most times, but we are highly secretive/reserved people! ~ As we never date around, we hate flings and affairs, you need to give us plenty of time to make up our minds and sort through our emotions and feelings.

You can tell without the test what he is, if you know him at all. How does he live his life and feel to you? Especially, if you're an INFJ/INTJ, you should be able to tell already. However, I'd say that they tend to be huggable, and extremely friendly and awesome people, I love them, and if INTJ ever failed me, I'd go to them for comfort/best friend status. Don't think I could make a relationship work with an Extrovert, but they are the closest to Introvert, so as I'm a higher Extroverted 33% INFJ, I'm the most Extroverted Introvert, *Shrug*. Can always count on them for laughs, to cheer you up, and give plenty of emotional support/affection when you're feeling down and out anyway.

My wife and I have been married for 30 years. I always give her the instructions to hold while I put together the furniture without any instruction. Inevitably if I where to try read the instructions she'd just grab them out of my hands anyway. I figure I'm just saving a step. She figures I'm being a smart ass.

If you're an INFJ you can't and don't/won't. We're hard-wired into the Universal Energy as Seers, we're born this way and it won't ever change. For us, that is our natural unconscious way of being, we're true empaths, you'll resonance and feel what you're meant to feel always. We build walls and boundaries for this reason. You block it out with music/art/games/distract yourself. Being an Empath is hard though, it is simply the way that our life is.

@@snowflakestarprincessakiko6013 Its a lot harder when you don't build the walls or when you leave from behind them. People I knew for years didn't want anything to do with me. Saying I had changed. As an INFJ I am very happy with my ESTJ better half for more than a decade Alhamdulilah, but sometimes we do have our challenges in understanding each other’s “language” (Mars vs Venus), also our interest fields are different, I like sci-fi movies and stuff like that and she is not. The funny thing is that I found MBTI like 1,5 years ago which made more sense to me about our differences from MBTI perspective, while prior to our marriage we relied our bets a bit on western and Chinese horoscope signs and compatibilities and my desire to have someone with the same religion, community, values and traditions, while have an outgoing personality in contrary to my shy personality

For number two, i think butting heads is nice tho, bc it means there is another logical perspective you're unintentionally not considering, and a thinker keeps you down to earth, compared to someone who will agree with you and you both could be lost. Obviously number two is quite debatable because it is a matter of preference.

Insightful! Sticking to cognitive functions and their interactions, nice. The relationship conundrum...like me, or complements me(?). I would hope to find somebody who understands me but I now see that as a herculean task and beyond expectation. The next greatest task that another type could accomplish would be, is to get me out of my INFJ head!

Probably with one wants someone different and not similar. But I dated a guy I believe was an isfj or isfp and I felt really alone and misunderstood, and to make it worse he thought he did understand, but he saw something other than me and not the real me. Have you ever looked into Socionics? it talks about a lot of this type of thing for all different types in a relatively simple format. Socionics would say the "Optimal" relation is "Duality", which means both the first functions (Leading Function) are the same as the partners 3rd (Role Function). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socionics My (INTP) Coworker has been looking into this lately and i'd like an older INFJ's perspective on this. Love the Vids btw
@jenlan74407 жыл бұрын
I made reference to this some videos ago as well. Your statement is not entirely correct. The dual has the reverse cognitive stack (i.e. an Ni-doms dual would be an Se-dom), for the INFJ therefore an ESTP. But as I'm not an "older INFJ", so per your comment you probably wouldn't like my perspective.

@@jenlan7440 I'd say from my life experience that ESTPs are a complete nightmare, and ENTP would be slightly better, but INTJ is our Soul Mate Dream Match! ~ Lolz, yeah, I'd never want to be with my polar direct mirror reflection complete opposite, they're a complete chaotic nightmare. They can't understand on any level how an INFJ works, and they are extremely abusive and cruel, lacking emotional quotient understanding and empathy. Scare the living daylights out of me, I'd never date an ESTJ/ESTP ever, I'd consider an ENTP but they are known as being bullies, and never ever an ESXX. Can't stand Extroverted Sensors, and ENFP is the only one I'd consider, unless the ESFP was close border-line Introverted, but I don't think ISFP would ever work either. *Shrug* The ISTJ and ISTPs are the most boring people in life, along with INTPs, and INFPs just don't even want a relationship at all, they ghost and vanish on you when you date them.

I agree it’s important to establish what things you want to be similar or alike on and what things you want to be different on. That’s the key
@ProdavackaDivu4 жыл бұрын
I bet ESTP would be our ideal mate because they have the same four functions as INFJ (NiFeTiSe) except they excel at SeTi whereas we excel at NiFe. I truly enjoy social and physical activities, but it’s so much easier when I have someone who is more confident Se than me to get me out more. And they still have Fe so they care about others’ feelings, and they have Ti so they can meet us at our intellectual level.

Sensors look towards Past Experiences and judge based on the Practical, do you look towards History, or do you look towards the Future as a Visionary? Do you connect more with Nurses or with Psychiatrist/Guidance Counsellors? Do people automatically tel lyou their life story when you never asked for it, especially online? Complete strangers online will tell me their life story without being asked, they see an INFJ, and they seek out emotional/mental healing instead of physical healing. Can you see into someone's very soul, do you pick up on the energy vibes in the atmosphere, can you predict events based on feelings like an Oracle/Seer? ISFJs are normal people who are great and helpful/healing, usually Type 2 Helper Enneagram, meanwhile INFJs are mystical faeries and are magical random intuitives. We get "Ah Ha" Moments of Eureka Flash Intuition, and our Intellects are random, we don't merely memorize and follow the set instructions/protocols/information we are given. There is a huge and easy to tell difference right there, Nurses usually can't be that Empathetic, or they'd crumble under the pressure of their jobs. INFJs automatically and unconciously turn into social chameleons and can pretend to be/seamlessly blend in with any other personality type in life. We're known to be social butterflies, and the most extroverted of all introverts, we can do all kinds of things, yet, we tend to be Type 4 Romantics like INFPs or Type 6 Loyalists. With our high levels of Neuroticism and Anxiety, we can fit right in with Type 5 Thinker (INTPs/INTJs), or the Type 6 Loyalist Skeptic (INTPs/INTJs). Some of us might be Type 1 Reformer/Perfectionists like INTJs, but we're probably Type 4, with Type 3 Performer Wing, and Type 5 Thinker for our over-analyzing people personality. What makes ISFJs great Nurses and Healers is the fact that they have Type 2 Helper, with Wings in Type One Reformer/Perfectionism and Type 3 Performer. So, how do you make decisions? Do you look towards that traditional tried and true method, the practical information, or towards the future and create your own new way in life?
