Hello - I didn't hear on the video the diagnostic when the green light stays on, but there is no double beep or single beep. The iPod is charging, but the green light does not go off. It did recently, but that suddenly changed. Would be grateful for your advice - is there a solution?

My bose series 2 does not work .. it connects with the power supply and it only turns on the led, it does nothing else and does not turn off the led, remaining on and without use, could you tell me the problem I am from Venezuela

My soundock ii just lights up green but doesn"t produce a beeping sound. But it charges my docked Ipod. Any advice on this matter? Thanks!

Okay. I have replacement cable now and have power to the Bose. However, when I dock my Ipod, the menus start jumping around and then it basically locks up. It is fine if I connect via aux cable, so guess it is to do with the docking connection. Any ideas on this or how If you are able to repair this please.

Just one thing to note. I tried the cable from my Philips Boom box to see if that would work. It didn’t, but when I plugged my Boom Box back in that had stopped working as well. I replaced the fuse on my Boom Box and it is working again. I am not great at this, but should you check the voltage when trying out a replacement lead? Also, my Bose has no green light, so does that suggest the problem is somewhere in the cable?

My Bose Soundock 2 plays a fully charged iPod Nano but will not charge it when the Bose is plugged in or on battery. The screen displays a message on the iPod that it is not supported. I also plugged into the audio plug on the back and it does not play there either. I have tried other players and Bluetooth connectors in the audio port and nothing works. What would be my problem and what is the most likly part i need to order. The docking pin is not loose and i have cleaned it as well so I need some feedback as to what my problem may be.

My bose wasn’t turning on at all and I ordered a battery which works but when I plug it in to charge it doesn’t beep and the light doesn’t turn on. Could it be the charger not working or the Bose connection?

Hello, you docking connector has failed. You require a New docking board or a innexxis SD2 Bluetooth upgrade. (Also has new connector).

The round cylinder plug that plugs into the back of the unit with the gold pin in the center, well that's the problem with mine, the gold pin in the center of the plug is broken. What could be used in its place?

Hi, I have a problem with my bose sounddock series ii, at first i thought it could be the power supply, so I provided a 18V power supply with enough amperage, more than required even. It flashes green really fast but it doenst makes any sound. When it stopped working I was listening to music at about 70% volume when I heard it stopped the music and a small distortion while it stopped, really fast. The power supply was very hot, but Im not sure if it was normal, as I dont remember never having touched the power supply while it was being used before, I know they can get hot, but just not sure how much. I have disassembled the unit and the power supply as well but I havent identified nothing broken or blown while inspecting the boards. I tried reading the voltage with a tester and I didnt read anything as far as i can remember, but with the new one it does. Do you have any insight on what can be the issue with my unit? Thank you so much for your help.

hello how are you, disassemble the entire bose sounddock ii component, fix my problem. my system was doing circuit break, because the connectors were wet and burned, disconnect the volume and dock buttons. Well, now the problem I have is that I want to turn up the volume with the control but I do not know if it is bad for my control or the part that is disconnected contains the receiver of the remote control. thank you very much Nicolas Vodanovic, Santiago Chile

Not easily - it runs from a dual rail +- 18V supply. It would be easy enough to make one but not much demand.

My dock powers on ok, however the green light does not go off. The volume then turns down to zero emitting no noise. Pressing the + will then return the volume to normal but it eventually returns to zero, almost like the - button is being held down.

This is a docking board problem. use a T8 screwdriver and take it out. (see video on invebo.com website in Tech Guide Section). If there is corrosion on the sound processor or ribbon cable due to liquid spill then you need to send teh sound processor and docking board to invebo.com for the free diagnostic test. If there is no corrosion then you need a new docking board.
