After partition India remained secular , muslims were not only given equal status they also were appeased (one famous statement of Gandhi ji was that "Muslims in India should be given the first right on the resources of the country" [why? I don't understand, in a secular country everbody should be treated equal]). So this was the theme of the Congress / other Governments till May 2014.. Muslims in India got used to appeasement !! there is no triple talaq system in Pakistan but it is there in India - why? - to appease the Muslim men... Lot of examples of appeasement including subsidy for Haj (no subsidy to any other religion to visit their pilgrimage spots) ... now , when equality is coming and Muslims loosing some of their "priviledge" , some ignorant people are calling it "Islamophobia"/Fasism/etc. etc.. In fact Muslims in India are safer, no bomb blasts in mosques , no slogans like "Shia Kafir" , Ahmadis aren't wajib e qutl... there is respect for Indian muslims , the Rafale fighter jets from France were received by Indian Ambassador (Muslim gentlemen) and of the first batch of 5 aircrafts, one was flown by Muslim IAF pilot....
