Izzy his last 3 fights "I'm feeling dark, I'm going to stop him" Post fights "I had an off night but still won". Dude is a point fighter. He wins. It is what it is I guess. But he went from being genuinely entertaining to watch to being a technical decisionator. At least now he has a fight with history coming up, a real threat.... And Alex can actually match him in the stand-up so hopefully we actually get a fight that's fun to watch, not just technical.

Gaethje is not a championship caliber fighter, the guy developed a bit and everyone lost their minds but to be honest that's he's best that's gaethje's pinnacle the best you'll see from him, and still did that performance against Tony Ferguson a guy who would be there to all the shots and not much of a threat stylistically and also a Ferguson who cut weigh 2 times... Forget the noise, Izzy shouldn't be fighting for fans who would move on from him the second that he gets injured or is unable to perform. He's a young man with most of his life ahead of him and a potential family in the future. He needs to keep winning and protect himself. Mayweather got flack for being safe while Ali was loved for being reckless and having 'fun' fights. Mayweather is now retired and enjoying his life and Ali ,bless his heart, got Parkinson's disease and died too soon. Stay safe fighters. Most of these KZbin keyboard warriors are selfish so let them stay mad.

That's not incorrect. But it also doesn't make you a legend. It makes you forgettable. If you could watch one boxer in their prime, don't tell me you choose Mayweather over Tyson. That's the difference. Winning is less important to your legacy than having great fights. Izzy had the ability to have exciting fights but gave up on it to grasp his title. Izzy said he wanted a KO, Izzy said he demands more from himself, Izzy talked about being entertaining and different, but since he started to get in risk in fights he retracted as a fighter and is now the most boring champion the UFC has. That is saying a lot

Everyone says “he’s boring” but I’ll tell you why I personally find his fights entertaining: I love seeing big, strong, scary dudes who are known for moving forward and imposing their will on their opponents (Costa, Romero, Cannonier) get in the cage with Izzy and suddenly find themselves unable to move forward and do what they do. It’s like when people fought Khabib, suddenly guys like Gaethje and Dustin were fighting scared, unwilling or unable to engage. It’s fascinating to see, and Izzy has that affect of fighters. They talk about having a game plan but once they step inside the octagon, it all goes out the window. Sure, he’s not the most obviously electrifying fighter each time he goes out there, but for me, just seeing his opponents struggle is evidence of his greatness.

But Izzy is the one who’s blamed for the fight being boring but we never hear any criticism of Robert or really any other one his opponents. On top of everything. Y’all are acting like these fights are Lewis vs ngnnou. The over exaggeration is crazy. The only legitimate weak, no action fight he’s had was with Yoel. There was action in every fight after but because there’s not always a drop or ko it’s boring. He was piecing Marvin, hitting him with all type of head kicks kickin his legs from underneath him but because Marvin is durable and he didn’t lose consciousness the fight is considered trash, lmao if he got kod by one of those shots there would be no criticism. Bear in mind that every fighter Izzy faces will have studied his game to the ‘nth degree and try to nullify his abilities. So it can become a very tactical fight rather than something more sensational. I’m not bothered about how Izzy gets the win in these fights because for me he’s at the top of the game and the fact he’s still winning shows what an outstanding champion he is. He shouldn’t be critical about his game because it’s up to his opponents to beat him if they want his belt and if they can’t do it that’s their bad not Izzy’s.

Bro... he could've easily taken a little more risk per exchange and most likely made the fight much more exciting. Jared fought like Jared, there was nothing new there. It's not that they're studying him lol. I mean, they are, of course, but that's not why he's boring. He's boring because he's too nervous about taking calculated risks. And the thing is, that would all be fine, if he would just own it. But he doesn't. Instead he gets mad at fans who call him boring and remind them of the spectacular finishes he got years ago against lower level opponents.
@Proxima2
@Proxima2 Жыл бұрын
@@isawilraen9816 I disagree with you. First of all he wouldn’t be champion if he didn’t take calculated risks when necessary. And he wouldn’t be an unbeaten champion at this weight if he wasn’t extremely good at winning fights. He wins them however he must win them and it’s ok if you’re not a fan of his style and you’d like to see him bash his opponents face in, but the fact is he’s at another whole different level of martial arts which I find incredible to watch. We differ on our appreciation of his skills, but he’s the one in the ring doing it, not you or I.

It's not just his fault but why is it that this shit is only happening to him? It's not a coincidence. The dude doesn't engage in the fight and he uses his height/reach advantage to stay as far away as possible while he taps with leg kicks. Adesanya literally doesn't even punch anymore. How many punches did he land this fight? I agree that it's not just his fault, Cannonier had a moment that really frustrated me in the 5th round when he actually landed a couple of shots on Adesanya and looked dangerous, only to then clinch him and hold on to him for no fucking reason afterwards. But, the guy who keeps putting on performances like these is Adesanya. No one else is this boring. Yes, he was knocking out guys before he was champ and he was fun to watch. Now, it doesn't even look like he wants to fight. He seems so terrified of losing that he doesn't take a single chance and just spends the entire fight as disengaged as possible, and this is just pathetic when you spend months saying you're going to KO him and that you're going to put on a show, and then walking out to the Undertaker song.. only to pull off another snoozefest. 400k buys this card did, and Adesanya has himself to blame. The UFC backed him to be their next big star and promoted the shit out of him and he keeps shooting himself in the foot. Having Adesanya headline this card ended up being a big mistake.

@@abigdingus2409 I’m English bud if you’re suggesting by using ‘mate’ I’m an aussie 😂 also Izzy is from New Zealand, I think the fact that he’s been champion in kickboxing organisations and beaten countless opponents proves he is high level. If he wasn’t high level someone in the ufc would of caught him on the chin by now, the only person in his career to do so is Alex pereira, that’s why the next match up will be amazing for fight fans! Snd to be fair to Izzy he was outclassing up until that point in the fight so, will be interesting to see what happens this time!

@@Charmander009 dude both guys are fighting for the belt when the fight starts. Once the fight starts they're both even on the scorecard and each has to earn the victory. Izzy is a try hard. The exact opposite of Usman. They want to make him a star and he wants to market himself as a star but it's fake. So they push this narrative and blame on to his opponents with this challenger has to bring it nonsense . If the champion does little but play keep away while the challenger is the one that has to press and make the fight exciting, why do they pay the champion more? Why is Izzy paid so much when he doesn't do anything to make the fight fun? It's his opponents that make his fights fun

The different between izzy and a fighter like khabib is that khabib early on in his career would try to inflict damage on the ground, like in the micheal Johnson and edson barboza fight. And later on in his career he would go for the finish much earlier in the fight. It was fun watching him dominate and see how far he could take his style. Izzy on the other hand talks about only knockout of submission when all we’ve seen from the past couple fights is point fighting. Who watches that fight and thinks wow adesanya is one of the greats. Only his fanboys
