Seemed to me like Colby was 1) nervous about Leon's power in the early rounds because he knew his usual wild boxing would be countered hard, 2) unsure of his gas tank after the layoff, 3) unable to shoot or plant and throw in the later rounds because his lead leg was absolutely destroyed. 4) Desperately trying to not get knocked out in front of his former acquaintance

Leon's stance switch I think was the biggest factor. Colby exposed his plan about Leon struggling to face other southpaws etc.... then Leon fluidly switched stances which I think threw him off.
