Two men have been arrested at the pro-Palestine march in London - one for holding a placard with a swastika on it and another for what police said was an alleged racist remark towards counter-protesters.
That static counter-demo was organised by pro-Israel group Enough is Enough.
There has also been more unrest on university campuses in the USA where protestors have been demonstrating against the Biden administration's support for Israel.

Ive just returned home from the London march and it was completely peaceful and everone was very respectful towards each other, I went along with a jewish friend amongst others, who were horrified by the nasty racist hate speach being shouted out by the Israeli counter demonstration, Im from a muslim family and going pass the Israeli crowd reminded me of the National Front I grew up with in the 70s/80s. They are hard right-wing hooligans that support Netanyahu goverment and the genocide in Gaza. Note that these clips on mainstream media make it look like the Israeli counter demonstrations are really large when infact there are only two rows of people along the fence... thankfully they are few in numbers.

What’s confusing about this whole situation is that it’s possible to both condemn the Hamas attacks _and_ think Israel has been more than heavy-handed in its response to October 7th. It’s possible to support Palestinian freedom from Israeli state oppression without being antisemitic just as it’s possible to support Israel against Islamist aggression without being anti-Muslim. These 2 things are not necessarily mutually exclusive. Too many folk are either one thing or t’other in this conflict when it’s possible to be both/and.

Of course Israel supporters would be granted the opportunity to have their own march but not if they proposed marching along with or into the pro-Palestinian march. The Met would be in a lot of trouble from all parties if they approved such a plan. Crowd control 101 dictates keeping the opposing groups separate. That's why there are fences mate.

Im so glad they let the older woman say what she said and made a point to interview a jewish person involved in the protests, channel 4 is easily one of the best news media in their somewhat unbiased coverage.
