Dear Shaykh , I have felt a deep injustice happening to the Palestinians since I was a child growing up in Greece. I am now 55 and my heart is in outcry with this Genocide happening now. I don't know what is Umna and the other arabic words you use. I do know that I stand with Palestine and I stand with the freedom of Mankind. A voice from Greece.

We are all feeling pain in our hearts… the ummah is the community. Belonging to the Ummah takes place when there is a shared worldview, shared values, and a shared willingness to live life according to those shared values. the ummah is meant to transcend national, racial, and class divisions to unite all Muslims… in the worship of one god.

Reema’s grandfather is the man of the century. Such wisdom. Such humble sweet , love for his people …. I felt peace when he kissed the leg of the amputee girl. I was born in a Christian home, but started questioning the hypothetical nature of the relationship a long time ago. I use to see Islam as the tagged placed on the religion by westerners in an attempt to cover the truth and devided the world. But though i am not a religious person at the moment, the most disciplined people i have met are Muslims, and also the people of Thailand are also very peaceful. But Christians, it will take 10000 years to convince me they are not the problem of this world.

The unmatched progress in virtually every field of human enterprise that has characterised the West since the end of the Middle Ages, while the Muslim world stagnated, should tell you that Westerners are the most disciplined people. If you enjoy the innumerable benefits of technology, modern medicine, and sovereignty as an individual, you'll realise how indebted you are to the West. It should take you ten seconds to realise this, and ten thousand years of persuasion to the contrary shouldn't convince you otherwise.

I understand your response, although I was talking from a religious point.. but since you brought medicine, let me bring you to date on some things you may not know. But the westerners came to Africa, Africans lived longer because we are natural and we ate real food, with very little decease. Then, some people came with tricks and looted our heritage.. so yes, the west brought some different things not necessarily the best, but in doing so, the amount of damages done to the planet, animals, plants and humans in general makes it almost impossible to see the good in all the west has done. You see, the problem is you feel you know too much because you read books only just get paid and earn a living. There is more to this life. But back to religion, Islam is way better as a way of life compared to Christianity. Don't mind the typos, I just don't have time to go through and make corrections. Hold your beliefs and let me hold mine. Thanks

The coming of Westerners saw a substantial increase in African longevity and population growth. I doubt Islam, a political, totalitarian and supremacist creed, could make a viable claim to be better than any other major world religion. The irony of your making an appeal to me to let you hold your beliefs is not lost on me, given that Islam's supremacist character ultimately precludes it offering such an indulgence to others (unless they are dhimmi and consent to pay you jizya).

@@maxb9315While I agree that the west surpassed Islam in various ways, some of it has been beneficial and some not. A lot of progress has come at the irreversible and wanton degradation of the environment and the decimation of the indigenous people. More people were killed in the wars started by the west in the twentieth century than all the previous wars combined. I'm including all of Europe and the North America in my definition of the west.

I admit that when I was a child, my mom telling me that Israel stole the land was something I took with a pinch of salt. And only now am I really learning the history, and most of all, from the Jewish historians who work hard to document and tell us the truth even though it pains them. My late teacher used to say, never write off what the Jews say. Sometimes they speak the truth and they will give you amazing insights. But sometimes they will lie, but even within those lies, like what IDF accuses Hamas of doing, is the truth - about what they are doing to the Palestinians.

Also listen to the greatest Sunnah scholars like Sheikh Fawzan, and the students of knowledge like Shamsi, Abu Khadeejah. They sit on the Truth of ahlussunnah wal jamaah and monotheism. The Palestinians are sitting on the Truth of the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaah. Muslims and non-Muslims stay away from Idolatry, Poly-Idolatry and innovations made in the West. Avoid all haram things. Go straight for the Truth Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaah and Tawheed.

So so happy that the average person has now heard of Palestine I cannot explain the torture I felt back in 2017 explaining to my colleagues (UK) I was going to Palestine and no one had heard of it I had to say Jeruselum (couldnt bring myself to say the Isnotreal) but sadly they had only heard of they who shouldn't be named. It's amazing this umma of ours. We may be weak but our hearts are linked. Am a Nigerian and everyday in salat in sujud or just doing house chores or driving, Gaza is always in my dua including all Muslim communities suffering oppression. I feel helpless but I know that my dua and the duas of millions of Muslims and good hearted non Muslims will never go to waste.

MashaAllah brother Jazaak Allah for the video, great work. Just one suggestion, its really distracting and difficult to keep the focus when the camera keeps zooming in and out, keeps shifting from Shaykh Omar Suleiman to the interviewer, or the random split screen view every few seconds. It looks choppy and is not needed, esp when it is not much of a back and forth conversation. It would be a lot better if the camera is left on Shaykh Omar Suleiman for the whole interview. May Allah reward you and your team and give you more success.
