There is a reason you find comfort. Jesus comforts those that mourn a lose. If you have questions where her spirit went it can be told to you by a missionary or leader. Ever member should know, however to not vary from what God has revealed to prophets be sure it is doctrine. It’s comforting to know the truth, and even a map where you will go. A loving Father wants us all to learn more of Him. My wife passed away 22 years ago. I still miss her however it’s Ike I know I’ll see her again. Seek and you also can gain in your heart the knowledge that man on earth cannot. Nobody can force your beliefs. But when you feel the spirit in your heart, the love, then no man nor woman can tell you otherwise. You will know. She is waiting.

Yep, me too; 6’4”, 230, outside linebacker in college, former Army Sgt., retired 25 year firefighter, who finally got to grow a long grey beard. But my heart is tender as can be. Songs like this can tear me up, too. I get emotional when talking about gospel or other tender subjects much more easily than my teenage daughters or my ex-wife ever did, because of the Lord’s tender mercies He has given me and the many times the Spirit has witnessed the truthfulness of gospel principles to me or comforted me, and also because the spiritual and physical blessings and tragedies I have witnessed.

Beautiful! Is that from the book of Mormon? I have just started reading it recently and learning Mormon hymns since I've moved to Logan, UT a little over a week ago and made a lot of Mormon friends. I got the book as a gift and it has enriched my spiritual life seeing how God reveals Himself to His children. I am now in 2 Nephi 4 with my reading, but I'm asking because the wording sounds like something that would come from this wonderful book of encouragement. By the way, I sang this song with my friends in the 25th ward of Utah State University last Sunday at Sunshine Terrace Retirement Home. I am truly blessed. As I am a Seventh-day Adventist, I now can be more active in church and strengthen my relationship with God, attending my church on Saturdays and the Mormon church on Sundays. Praise the Lord!

That's awesome that you are having such a good experience with the Book of Mormon! Similar to the Book of Mormon, God has revealed more of His truth to His living prophets in these days. The Mormon church has a book of these revelations called Doctrine and Covenants and this is where these words come from. If you haven't had a chance to read it, maybe you could ask that person who gave you the gift for a copy!

Israel, Israel, God is calling, Calling thee from lands of woe. Babylon the great is falling; God shall all her tow’rs o’erthrow. Come to Zion, come to Zion Ere his floods of anger flow. Come to Zion, come to Zion Ere his floods of anger flow. Israel, Israel, God is speaking. Hear your great Deliv’rer’s voice! Now a glorious morn is breaking For the people of his choice. Come to Zion, come to Zion, And within her walls rejoice. Come to Zion, come to Zion, And within her walls rejoice. Israel, angels are descending From celestial worlds on high, And to man their pow’r extending, That the Saints may homeward fly. Come to Zion, come to Zion, For your coming Lord is nigh. Come to Zion, come to Zion, For your coming Lord is nigh. Israel! Israel! Canst thou linger Still in error’s gloomy ways? Mark how judgment’s pointing finger Justifies no vain delays. Come to Zion, come to Zion! Zion’s walls shall ring with praise. Come to Zion, come to Zion! Zion’s walls shall ring with praise.

So, each and every Sunday for the past 5 months I have been writing to my girlfriend who left to serve on a mission. On these days, I listen to church hymns while I write to her as I feel that I'm filled with the Holy Ghost in which lifts my soul and heart and allows me to write to her what she needs to hear in that moment. It gives, and I testify of this, a Celestial calmness that strengthens our relationship and that with our God in heaven. It's without a doubt that, we as his children, have been chosen this day to serve in his cause. Willingly, and faithfully.

We all have big tests once in a while, maybe a few….those are the hardest ones!! One talk in General Conference said in order to prepare for those, we need to do the regular habits that we have been taught. Scriptures and prayer are primary. Fervent prayer….ask for salvation and protection. I am so sorry you have had a bad experience….so have I had a number of them. But I think in order to gain power over it, I need God’s help. So I am going to practice what will help me….for I believe in miracles!!

I was out thirty years and came back reluctantly only when my non-member wife decided to join when she received a personal testimony of the teaching of the truth of eternal marriage and wanted that more than anything because she and her two brothers had been abandoned for almost three years in an orphanage in Idaho. That has challenged her to this day and we’ve been married over 60 years, but she knows without a doubt that this is the only true church. I would bet that you know that too but because of some bad experience you have decided to punish yourself. I became a bishop 13 years after I came back and was over a ward for 5 years which was full of inactive members, members in jail, some with very serious marriage problems and on and on. Why did I end up as their bishop? Well, who better could relate to them. You have something like that waiting for you but you just don’t remember that planning your mortal journey up there before you came into this brief excursion in your test down here that you agreed to that test. We all did in one way or another. Don’t blow it brother. I made back and so can you. You have a lot to contribute you just have forgotten that. I hope you can resolve your issues and regain happiness again.

The Church of the Latter Day Saints intermingles with all the other Christian Religions to show the world that Christ is our savior! The LDS is on the top echelon with all the other Christian-based worshippers showing the world that there is a Heavenly, saving place for all believers!
I love , how this format is full , exalted by lots of ways sanctified. The church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. Look how still they all be singing in the storm that surrounds them. They are not animated , they speak sing moving , the flood of seasons we are in , allowing the holy Ghost to teach to a direction the spirit needs . A visual treat , and the voices move by power to inspire the note , in a place , that can be disrupted by animation to lead the music and not the spirit. Nice work , beautiful. So pleasing to be filled not to point it out but hear it in. Standing still in holy places and move my world .
