Israel - Mount Carmel Forest Fire 2-3\12\2010 HD

Foreign firefighting crews have begun to arrive in Israel to help battle a massive forest fire out of control in the north of the country.
Further global assistance is due to arrive later on Friday, as fire crews battled high winds driving the blaze towards the city of Haifa.
At least 41 people have died and scores injured in what is thought to be the country's largest ever forest fire.
At least 13,000 people, including prison inmates, have been evacuated.

The fire has been raging all night despite efforts Aircraft from Bulgaria, Jordan, Greece and the UK have arrived, after Israel issued a rare request for foreign assistance.
Planes from Cyprus, Turkey and Russia were en route, while flame-retardant materials were being flown in from France, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said.

We Greeks were very happy to help our Israeli friends in need. The Israelis were impressed by the risky dives of the Greek pilots, and the Greek pilots were very grateful by the Israeli hospitality, and real friendship. THANK YOU ISRAEL !

This terrible fire and the loss of 42 mainly very young lives is very shocking. We all share the sorrow of the Israeli's at this time for their tragic loss.

For the history that is.... E.g. the first who docked at Kephalonia to help, (Greece 1953-earthquake) happened to be, the "whole" newborn hebrew navy then, that is, very few ships....But they helped as much as they could, with whatever means they had, from what i heard.

@omerszkl that understand the innocent people in Gaza better than the Israelis, we live the same reality. But Israel is not the one who tries to achieve its goals through terrorism.
