What a wonderful place to start for Christians who need to know more about these prophecies!! Ken Johnson has the devotion to God's Word and the faith in its revealed message of JESUS the Messiah, to deliver this Truth. In my mind Dr Ken has, along with Chuck Missler and Ron Madsen, continued the work of demonstrating that God's Word is living and active and being fulfilled down to the last prophecy. Im so grateful for these men of God as I prayerfully struggle along in God's Word to take hold of it and strengthen my own faith in Christ.

That is "redemption," that is to "redeem" and Christ did that, that is Christ's covenant. Sort of like the brothers of Joseph, from whom he was *redeemed* in some way.

Dr. Ken, I understand that the rebuilding of the 3rd Temple and the Red Hefer sacrifices were prophesied and must happen. But why? If the death and resurrection of Jesus fulfilled the need for any future sacrifices to God. Jesus, the ultimate sacrifice, to take away the sins of the world should end the practice. Why would they go back to mere animal sacrifices?

HI, anciently the sacrifices and temple pointed to the Messiah’s first coming. In the millennial reign they will be a memorial to it. The priests still have to eat food so meal preparation might as well be done to point to Christ. kind of like when we pray before a meal.

If you look at Amos 6 in this context, what do you understand v4-6 to apply to? I.e. the careless Israelis or the rich Hamas leaders in Doha? Who is on beds of ivory or getting oiled and perfumed each day? And does v7 turn to the carelessIsraelis going captive and the rich Hamas guys getting their feast/food removed? (I see there is an Ivory hotel in Doha but it is only 4star not the 5 star Hamas prefers)

Re your Amos 6:1 comment. I hear you suggest woe to 1. complacent Israelis (7Oct), 2. The Palestinian Authority and …? My Bible has 3. The notable men of the chief of the nations (wouldn’t that be the White House?) on whom the Israelis are relying. Your talk interests me especially because I had previously been looking at Amos 7:1 in relation to Gaza. In Israel they used to talk of “mowing the grass” as a metaphor for a limited attack on Gaza instead of actually dealing with the issue. Now after Oct 7 they are seriously trying to destroy Hamas. Lawn mowing time over. So the sign for ‘the beginning of the latter growth’ is when the Israeli government gets serious. Locust growth, I understand, occurs in five stages. The Septuagint version of Amos 7:1 includes a mention of an early stage of Gog.

HI, Verses 4-6 might refer to both, but I think it is mostly if not entirely Hamas leaders. It is interesting that Amos 7 in the LKXX does mention gog. It seems to be a demon in that version. BTW, the Hebrew word “gog” means roof as in the roof of the world. Its another reference to Russia.

@@biblefactsorg I’m thinking that if the interpretation for our era does apply to Gaza there should be checkpoints that confirm the interpretation.v7 says,”Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive”. Is this a ‘tables will be turned’ statement? I guess people were taken captive on the first day (Oct7) . We need to mull over the rest of the chapter. Also the biblical understanding of drinking cups of wine. Those guys probably aren’t doing it literally but most references to these mizraq bowls have connotations of being filled with sacrificial blood. Hamas leaders are certainly shedding a lot of blood.

@@biblefactsorg That is interesting. Here in NZ we usually think of the Roof of the World as being Central Asia from Afghanistan to the Himalayas. I guess we have different traditions. I gather those areas used to be/ are the home of the snow leopard.

@@jerrysullivan8424 Ah, I see. My biggest concern was that it makes sharing the video much tougher. Most people I would share it with wouldn't watch it if they had to fast forward through over 25 minutes of nothing. I was looking at it through that lense and not through the lense of the local church it is serving. 🙂
