Israeli forces announce plan to advance towards Rafah | DW News

Fears are growing of a new Israeli offensive further south towards Rafah in the Gaza Strip. After an intensive operation in central Gaza and Khan Younis city, Israel's military suggested plans to now advance farther south to Rafah, close to the Egyptian border. Around half of Gaza's population of 2.3 million people are thought to be sheltering there.
