Indeed your technique ll work but. Sometimes some people cut what they get. They not Intended to stab you but if you put your hands front they probably back off and cut your finger and etc. Second one I believe could be weapon striking frame your body keep your limbs close to you when the reach to you stab you create distance and hit him in wrist. If he engaging. Then try to grab him. Kick him groin. And eyes ...I believe
