OR 2) Desecrating a rebuilt temple in an age which sacrifices and offerings have been undone? Hebrew and Aramaic grammar of Daniel 9 would define something totally different from the interpretation discussed here. I bring this up so followers of Christ can discuss. The goal of the seventy weeks as described in Daniel 9:24 is an ultimate age of fulfillment and completion. Its accomplishments are those found elsewhere in prophecies of God's new and everlasting covenant and of the eschatological jubilee. See, for example, Isaiah 60:21; 61:1 ft.; Jeremiah 31:34; 32:40; Ezekiel 16:60-63; 20:37f; 37:26. The final item listed in Daniel 9:24 is an anointing, which must surely be related to the anointed one of Daniel 9:25 and 26. In Daniel 9:27 The Messiah makes a covenant with the elect; cf. Daniel 11:33; 12:3. The antecedent “He” goes back to the Messiah in verse 26 not a people or a prince. From the original translation, the article “the” before Messiah makes verse 27’s “he” refer back to Messiah who will confirm NOT make the covenant. In Hebrew the proper noun is the Messiah not a people or a prince, which are all improper nouns with no definite article. Therefore the antecedent “He” of 27 must go back to the proper noun, Messiah of 25 & 26. It cannot be translated back to a people or even to a prince. The grammar forbids it! Does the idea of confirming a covenant fit with Jesus Christ being the perpetrator of that confirmation? Yes! Jesus said, Mt 26:28 “This is my blood of the new testament [covenant], which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” Jesus is: ...mediator of the new covenant, Heb 8:6 , ...messenger of the covenant, Mal 3:1, His shed blood is called: ...the blood of the everlasting covenant, Heb 12:24. Jesus Christ confirmed the covenant through his redemptive sacrifice at Calvary. He made a contract signed with His blood. The prophecy interpretation about the third temple being rebuilt in Jerusalem would have considerable problems as a fulfillment of God’s plan. Why would God find sacrifices pleasing to him if Jews were to start the sacrificial system again in a 3rd Temple when He went to great lengths to do away with the system in the first place by sending His son, Jesus. Why would it be of any importance to Christians if an antichrist came and put an end to the sacrifices in a rebuilt 3rd temple? In Revelation 13, the Antichrist tries to put his mark on every person, THE TEMPLE of Jesus.

It's pretty fascinating, looking at it from a Jewish' perspective because they are looking for the Messiah to come.(cause they don't believe Jesus was the one, a prophet of his time, but not the Messiah). They 'are' looking and desiring to reconnect with their God once more. Rebuilding of the temple is the beginning. This is why they are looking for the Red Calf (without "spot or wrinkle" meaning: without a flaw). Ya'll should check into the "Finding the Tribes of Israel". A documentary of dna being taken from people groups from all over the world. This is important to the Jew because only Levite's can perform in the Temple. Wow, what a great documentary! The so-called "Temple Mount", the Dome of the Rock, the Muslim Mosque, & the Wailing Wall are all just a part of the old Roman Fort that was built next to the Temple. It makes perfect sense as Yeshua said specifically that "not one stone will be left upon another." I think this all rings true & also makes perfect sense as to how the 3rd Temple will actually happen in the future. There's no way the Jews will ever get the Dome of the Rock overtaken. A third temple would be an affront to God and to completely disregard that Jesus was the greatest and final sacrifice for all time. Israel still believes that God wants them to slaughter animals and resume their barbaric blood rituals, all while ignoring the entirety of the New Testament and the work of the Messiah. Facts come from reliable sources and this video (I can not call it a documentary) has not shown any. The bible gave the first clues. What about Roman documentation? That would have describe the location of the second temple. What about the experts those interviewed talked about? Why were they not interviewed for this video? It's always seemed bizarre to me that the ancient Jewish Temple would be built on such a large platform as the Haram al Sharif is on as the Jewish people were relatively small in number and a relatively poor nation and Jesus prophesied that not a single stone would remain of Herod's Temple yet, there are tens of thousands of stones still standing on Haram al Sharif. I think the evidence should be presented to the Temple organization and start building the 3rd Jewish Temple in the City of David, on the original site of the former temples, and make it the jewel of the world!

Revelations was written in A.D. 65-66 and in Chapter 12 called out the city spiritually speaking Sodom and Egypt, and if you did not understand that another hint-- the city where the Lord was slain. Biblically defensible Mystery Babylon was Jerusalem. Jesus in Mark, Luke and Matthew on the Mt of Olives said He would return in the lifetime of some of the disciples. He appeared first as the Lamb as Savior to reconcile Man to God with His death and resurrection and He sent out His messengers who endured great persecution to give the Gospel to all the known world to those that would believe. Appearing on trial before the Sanhedrin that some standing there would see Him returning in a cloud of judgement (quoting Daniel) to destroy His enemies. Mercifully Jesus waited until the end of the generation wishing none would perish before the dreaded Abomination that makes Desolate. In A.D. 66-67 the Lord Jesus directed the mixed Roman army as it turned on the Whore to Stone and Burn this adulterous woman that killed His prophets, people and of course their King, fulfilling the parable in Matt 22 of the wedding feast. As for the believers they remembered their Lord's Prophecy and fled the city to escape judgement and Josephus the historian said none perished. The Old Temple where no stone would be left on a stone was fulfilled ending the old covenant and brought in the New Covenant. The epistle of Peter states the new people/nation in Christ Jesus is the new living stones and Jesus is the cornerstone of the New Temple

There is no biblical evidence that points toward a future temple. All the blueprints of temples found within Scripture has already been built. It doesn't matter where Herod's temple was built, the Scripture is so clear that there is no longer a need for sacrifice (Heb. 10:18).

I understand what you are stating but there is still no connection between the antichrist and the rebuilt temple found in Scripture. Remember, my original comment is that there are no biblical blueprints found in Scripture and no longer sacrifices. I made this statement to address what is spoken of in this video. Additionally, there are more obstacles that stand in the way of rebuilding a temple than there are supports.

You are confusing years. The first Temple was not built immediately after the Cyrus decree of 536BD but after the second decree of Nehemiah after 445 BD... So there are two decrees here to consider...

The Romans would NOT have kept the whole of the legion in the city. They would need thousands of soldiers throughout Judea and Shomron and other regions of the Land of Israel. They would have kept only a hundred or so to administer Jerusalem. Therefore, the small fort would have been large enough to accommodate them.

If someone will say that Josephus was completely accurate and did not exaggerate, why inflate his number of 600 Roman troops to 6000 - 12,000? Keep in mind, Herod renovated and renamed the original fort of, Bira (accupied by Jews/Macabees).

And Nehemiah 3:7 says they "...repaired the residence of the governor of the region beyond the River." So to me, that means the governor lived there, but worked in a region beyond the river (and not that they were working on the wall beyond the river) But whatever, I can't wait for His return!

You people think the reason why God commission to build a temple for sacrificial animal burnt offering cause they we keep sinning, animal sacrifices won't take away sin, it was a shadow to come. Obedience is better than sacrifice, animal offering (1 Sam. 15:22; Ps. 40:6). Loyal love He delight, offer to God sacrifice of praise, sacrifice pleasing to God are a broken spirit (Hosea 6:6; Heb. 13:15; Ps. 51:17). Appreciate yourself individual as God's temple (Ps. 27:4). We ourselves should offer to God a righteous sacrifices... Righteousness (perfection holiness) is what we offer to God.
