Yes and no. He did ask it as whether Israel should do so, but they all live with the reality that Israel has besieged the Gaza Strip. So they control the flow of goods, and lack thereof. The main rebuttal was either screw em or we don't want Hamas to get food. Neither of which are compatible with allowing food as aid into the Gaza Strip.

And? Regardless of the question, "Israel" is OBLIGATED under international law to provide food, as well as facilitate and guarantee protection of other organisations providing food. "Israel" is an occupying power and as such has a legal and moral responsibility to provide food, healthcare, water and electricity to Occupied people. The people answering show exactly why "Israel" is the problem. They've been illegally occupying for decades and still see themselves as the innocent victims. Everything they accuse Gazans and other Palestinians of, they themselves do. They do it in Occupied Palestine, they do it in Occupied Syria, they did it in Occupied Lebanon, they do it everywhere they go. I am not Jewish. I have seen reports, not one report, of how the Palestinians in Gaza receive food from the United Nations and then sell it on the black market. There are women from Gaza who cook kunafeh and musakhan. In general, the Palestinians in Gaza have big bellies and are overweight, unlike Sudan. They do not need food. The Palestinians in Gaza were given working farms after the Jews there were forcibly removed during a unilateral peace deal of withdrawing from Gaza in 2005. It was a good gesture but the Gazans destroyed the farms and dug up the irrigation pipes to repurpose into rockets. During this war, the IDF suspended operations (Hamas and Hezbollah sent rockets still) to vaccinate Gazans against polio. That was a good gesture as well. In any clash with Gaza and the West Bank, Israel sends text messages to “civilians” (really everyone since Hamas hides behind civilians) warning them that they’ll enter an area in two weeks, then one week then 24 hours. They also drop leaflets with the same warning. They put their own soldiers at risk to create humanitarian corridors for civilians. I think that’s a great gesture to the Palestinians, if not good for them. None of the above things have worked. Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis etc don’t want kindness. They want to destroy the Jewish state. And they’re letting food in of course, so they’re doing everything other armies won’t do. Hamas would certainly never do that. Don’t forget that Yayha Sinwar, architect of the October 7 atrocities, was in Israeli prison for killing fellow Gazans. Israeli doctors saved his life there when he had brain cancer and he vowed he’d kill all Jews anyway. He made good on his word when Hamas kidnapped the nephew of the doctor who saved his life and then executed him. Maybe Egypt, whose blockade fence of Gaza’s is bigger and more impermeable than Israel’s, could be the humanitarian heroes of Gaza. Unlikely, but it’s a thought.

The question of food does not arise with Russia / Ukraine because Russia is not besieging Ukrainian civilians - Russia is not able to and perhaps does not want to besiege Ukrainian civilians. Also it is not a war because a war has two armies (like Russia vs Ukraine) - here there is only army - Israel - who uses tanks / jets etc to bomb civilians living in tents.
