Issey Miyake Nuit d’Issey Parfum Fragrance Review (2015)

One of my most favorite fragrances from the dark line of Issey Miyake, got it after many months of testing, check it out for Winter days.

Was just able to pick this bottle up from fragrancenet here in the States for just under $50 for a tester. Lovely scent as are almost all the dark, winter scents of Issey. It's getting tougher and more expensive to find it anywhere. One thing about these bottles is that it is tough to see how much juice is in the bottle. I was finally able to after going into a pitch dark room and shine a strong flashlight pressed behind the bottle with the juice moving back and forth. These black bottles are the hardest ones in my collection to see through.

I just got the EDT of this and I am so surprised. I originally got a sample and was repulsed by the smell because I smelled SO MUCH incent in it. Over the next day or two spraying the sample It really started to grow on me and I realized how good of a masculine scent it is once the inital concentration dissipated. I just got a full bottle of the Eau de Toilette and I was suprised to find the inscent was a bit more mellowed. I think this is for sure an Iffy scent depending on where it is being worn and how much because if you do too much, it can be VERY offensive to some noses

When This Is Him came out a lot of reviewers praised it, calling it unique. It's not, it comes from this fragrance and to a lesser extent, the OG Nuit d'Issey!

WOW!!! About time you reviewed this one! It's been long time coming bro'! I've owned a 2015-batch (75ml) for about 7 years now and a month ago, purchased another 125ml from 2023 - got it on a super deal ($20 for a large-size tester)! Will defentily rock it this upcoming fall and winter. Haven't worn it even once since I bought it 🤦🤭

One of my most favorite choices for date nights or fomal events. This is sweet, dark, boozy, leathery at the same time. It's suitable for 30+ who are confident and mature.

This one was a real surprise for me, I had low expectations as I wasn’t a fan of Issey fragrances apart from the original which is a classic (and something I get an unusual amount of compliments on when I wear it). When I got this it felt quite seductive/sensual, like something I’d wear if I was on a date, but it also smelled really comforting- hard to explain but I found myself spraying on my wrist before bed just so I could smell it as I went to sleep. A really interesting scent for some, nothing like I would normally buy but I absolutely love it.

One of my favorite houses! Had the OG a couple of times during the years and now I have the Fraiche version alongside Noir Argent, Super Majeure and Bleue (2nd bottle). Cheers!

Polaris is an Interlude Man clone coccooned in leather and vanilla. Love that one but it is a clone with a twist.

Parfum or EDT which is better? I wanna also get Valentino Uomo Intense but I'm not sure which one to get

I have both, I like the parfum better (I own 3 125ml bottles of it) but think of it like encre noir vs encre noir sport, one is a bit fresher and therefore more versatile but both are great. Miyake's nuit EDT has some citrus notes which make it harsher (in a good, enjoyable way) and the parfum is just more elegant. It's kinda dry and peppery in the opening more than it is pungent like the EDT but it's also harder to pull off in daytime/warm weather. Other than that the base scent profile simply putting it is pretty much the same being the parfum denser of course and not having remains of the top/middle notes the EDT has. On the other hand I haven't tried anything from Valentino, I am a Dior homme intense guy so can't help you there.
