Worked on it one year and half, first at the office, but quickly moved to field. I worked as minimum wage (normal in Portugal) and I stay long because of machines, work. Since then sometimes I fear some walls or other stuff I can see that was not well done.

There will always be a job for Geotechnical Engineer. They play a critical part in new construction. They are also needed for solutions to land failures. It's a great field. I think your background in geophysics could be handy when developing engineering solutions to a given problem. I hope I was helpful Good luck!

Rey Coladilla If you have a Civil Engineering degree then Geotechnical Engineering is definitely a field you can work in. You should research the requirements. It's a fun field.
