I've played in leagues like this: guys with marginal athletic ability that take a beer league way too seriously. It doesn't make any sense to make a dangerous play when we are all going to work the next day. These guys all have "peaked in high school" energy.

Was involved in a bad tackle myself back in the day, guy 2 footed me hit me so hard I flipped landed on my head and broke my neck. Needless to say it killed my Sunday games lol, but at least I can still walk, I got very lucky.

@Anthony Long it stopped me playing football and rugby for life but fortunately I just get soreness in the winter months. Go to chiropractor bout once every six months. I do miss the game tho.

yea the ball is out there and he makes a play for it but the attacker at last moment moves it away and he lands on his foot/ankle and then his momentum kind of rides up his leg as his ankle twists and he falls. I don't think there was intent there and genuinely felt bad about that. Just a few seconds before the same guy went in and stood on the opponent's foot though. I think he was just getting too eager. Yellow for sure but I don't think he was out to hurt people but he needs to calm down and time his tackles better lol.

All the amateur ref are the reason why the game got so violence. Listen to the ref at 5:15 ... because both side playing hard so the ref ignore both team tackles and let the game escalate. If my team got tackled like in the video all game, I'm punching the ref first thing after the final whistle
