I love it slipping in and out of the cameras frame rate, funky looking!

Another spring may be in order as its a little light. Or springs tension should be adjustable?
@306familyfarm2 жыл бұрын
Yes should at least hit rated output. More tension should be fine

Would be interesting to see how the Heli reacts to the same wind and gusts

Incidentally... kzbin.info/www/bejne/np3PlqydrKmrZsU Given, it's only a very brief snapshot but it's a fair representation I think.

What are your average high/low wind speeds? I'm off grid on solar but want to add wind for night and winter. I'm concerned about our highs, we clocked 78mph gusts last week and we've had higher. Trying to see what models would hold up.
@ToysforWatts2 жыл бұрын
Wow if I were to guess I'd say you were in my neighborhood...West Texas, we've had obscene winds the last couple of weeks. This week has been pretty calm but we were pushing 75+ early last week. Pretty much any micro turbine will hold up to triple digit winds, it's the controllers that tend to have a hard time coping. My goal is generally to see what kind of wind they can be pushed through...I abuse them...but if I can see 50+ in the forecast and want to keep things working properly I go shut them down.

Wow 4179 kWh produced 👀, that is absolutely amazing, how long did it take to produce that much?

Now you are using wind, one day you will also use water I hope ;) Haha... 😄👍
@ToysforWatts2 жыл бұрын
I would have to have hundreds of miles of cable to run off water

I do see a lot of shaking on the tail. While brand new it is tight and snug (the tilting mechanism), with the vibration it won´t stay that way for long... I suppose yours is producing a bit more than mine, although far from the 2000w rated. good luck!

The rotor balanced statically but clearly there is a little imbalance in them. I'll have it back down in a few weeks to address a problem with my tower and I'll be rebalancing it while it's down.

Hi how can I limit yaw on i2000. I have small chain loop round post back to bolt on tail pole. Idea to hold better heading, must do work to turn off heading. Joe

Hi, Can you share the start wind speed, I got that same model and made several mods to match it to the midnite classic 200 and to lower the start wind speed on the original configuration.

Hey Justin, what's your overall perception of this turbine - You may have convinced me to buy one.
@ToysforWatts Жыл бұрын
I feel like the i1500 and i2000 are the best consumer grade micro turbines you can buy. If I had to go out and buy one to rely on right now I wouldn't have to consider my options. I would not do the windsafe model, though...I haven't seen the benefit.

What do you think about Tesup Magnum 5?
@ToysforWatts2 жыл бұрын
I think it has decent potential wrapped up in a bunch of poorly executed hopes and dreams. I would strongly advise staying away from TESUP in general. Any purchase made from them will eventually lead to you having to file a claim with your credit card carrier.

To be fair our wind is blowing somewhere between 4 and 52 miles per hour.
