Great video man, always nice to start people off on a good path and give them something you would have benifitted from in the past! His skills will improve exponentially now I am sure. Always good to see the joy in someone as they learn to ride, priceless times.

He sure is! Very brave and he got to grips with my MSX very quickly, Clark Pads and all. It will be fun to see how he reacts when trying out my Nikola.

Ahhh I love new rider episodes. Great to hear the perspective of someone just getting into electric unicycles....made me laugh when he said he didn't want a heavy wheel😂 not that long ago the msx was heavy but now it's almost featherweight compared to others.
@isthereanyfood2 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed! Today he spent some time in the evening fiddling with a yoga mat to make some side pads. Just to get a bit of grip. And yeah man... the MSX is amongst the lightest wheels out there now haha.

I'm convinced soft mode helps protect against overcharging the wheel.
@isthereanyfood2 жыл бұрын
That is possible as there is a gentler braking curve and regen curve. It would be easy to test with my Nikola as I can monitor incoming current with the SmartBMS.

Great explanation on this, I will try test out soft mode.. I n the start I got scared using it and felt more safe with the stiff mode.. :P
@isthereanyfood2 жыл бұрын
Soft mode is definitely more natural and intuitive. Hard mode is very predictable in situations like skate parks though as all input is made by us in that mode. But soft mode definitely is more enjoyable to ride, more forgiving on bumps and potholes and to top it off even gets us a tiny bit more range. :)
@terkelalgevind5292 жыл бұрын
@@isthereanyfood Oh it gives more range to . :) Great. So far I like the soft mode, a few more km and I will likely never go back. :D So all that force staying stiff suck more watts, makes sense. Thanks mate!
@isthereanyfood2 жыл бұрын
@@terkelalgevind529 Exactly! Staying stiff costs more power. There are some few situations where hard mode beats soft mode... but when it comes to dancing and flowing soft mode can't be beat. Stick to it for at least a few days and you will see. Changing modes is free and we have the luxury of being able to try these settings. Even though many times our initial response is "eeeeew no thanks!".

I paid 2800euro for my secondhand Ford Fiesta. I paid 2900 for my Sherman with extended warranty (which I didn't use). I cannot put my small car in my big EUC. Volume/weight wise, the Fiesta is a lot more chicken nuggets than the Sherman.
@isthereanyfood2 жыл бұрын
Hahaha. Chicken nuggets are great and all but I guess in this case the EUC nuggets are tastier and more versatile... at least when it comes to our fun hobby.
@BunnyslippersEUC2 жыл бұрын
Afraid of speed? After the V5F...the Sherman was the only wheel worthy. I wanted that speed. If not for the delayed delivery of the Sherman. The Sherman would be my second wheel. With my second wheel the MSP HS (not HT...I was living a lie), I was hitting the 65 kmph in a sprint within a week. I didn't know my fat ass could move so fast.
@isthereanyfood2 жыл бұрын
Haha yeah the HT is simply too slow. You would overlean it in a week... probably less.
@BunnyslippersEUC2 жыл бұрын
I would pick the Master as my free wheel. Because I already put money on the S22. My Sherman is already an endgame wheel, but it has no low-end torque and no suspension. I hated my V5f. It has no torque, no speed, no range.
@isthereanyfood2 жыл бұрын
Congrats on the incoming S22! And yeah... owning both the S22 and the Master would definitely be a fun thing! Then we get the new problem... when are we gonna ride all these wheels?
