My Hindo2 is in that kind of shape. I got lucky. Someone used, a took care of it. Actually has old Gibson hardware. After 26 + years playing, This guitar plays like a dream. I can see why Gibson got upset. And the color, tobacco, with mustache stock and proper inlays. Great instrument. Very underrated!!

you can't perform a harmonic dive with out the whammy bar, unless you have special pedal, such a Digitech Whammy pedal.

With a Floyd Rose Tremolo now even a Gibson Les Paul can stay in tune, haha ;) Finally! Gibson really is not able to fix that problem since they started in the 1950s but continued to charge too much money for their instruments. They should pay Floyd Rose at least 10 million dollars for fixing this problem :) Besides - great playing, man!

If an instrument comes from the factory and costs around 3000 dollars it should be set up right from the start, shouldn´t it? Besides, I do know how to set up a guitar right and even the guy at the guitar repair shop couldn´t do anything to fix the tuning problem. The tuning problems with a les paul are well known. I also bought a Flying V this year and that guitar doesn´t stay in tune, too. Every guitarist I know says the same about les pauls. The reason is how the strings go from the saddle to the tuning pegs and sometimes the tuning pegs are not that good either. I fixed that with a non tremolo locking system. Another annoying fact is that if you break a string and you want to finish a song during a gig you have to tune the other strings first because these guitars are not stable enough to keep the tension and it goes out of tune.

+Oliver Loy I would not expect a guitar right out of the factory to be set up exactly to my specs. Gibson does not know how I like my guitar set up or you or anyone else. There are a several factors to consider! Action height, neck relief and string gauge. Everyone has there own preference. People who buy a $3000 guitar aren't usually people that are just learning the guitar. Most of them know their settings and can make adjustments themselves or have someone do it for them!! You can't put 11 gauge strings on a guitar that was set up with 10's from the factory. You will have tuning problems in the nut. 99% of tuning problems are in the nut. An improper cut nut will bind the strings and cause an imbalance in the strings. More importantly, the D and G strings are the two strings that are most likely to go flat due the angle the string leaves the nut to tuners. This is common knowledge that the nut needs to have the angle cut correctly in the nut to keep the strings from binding!

If they sell an instrument THEY HAVE TO do the settings right so that if I pick up that guitar it should be okay. you don't have to cut a hole into your guitar, you can just swap out the existing stoptail and bridge.

I know this is a three year old video, but I only recently found out about this system. I do have a question. Realistically how stable is this FRX? You are the only person on your tube who came close to abusing your FRX how I abuse tremolo guitars. The only thing I see that doesn’t work right is the locking nut. I would remove the regular nut and use a regular Floyd type there like we used to do with our Kahler s. Otherwise will it stand up to heavy abuse?

It's not that people don't abuse them, they just don't have as much range of motion as a regular floyd. It's not a perfect system, but it's great for what it is

A Les Paul nem kiván semmit, lévén, hogy egy egyszerű tárgy. Egyetlen funkciója van, mint eszköznek, hogy közvetitsen valamit, érzést, gondolatot abból az emberből, aki a kezében tartja, már, ha van mit! Senki nem lett pl. Gary Moore, mert vett egy Les Pault, vagy senki nem lett pl. Eric Clapton, mert vett egy Stratot. Egyébként gyárt maga a cég is Floyd Rose - al, vagy Bigsby tremoloval szerelt modelleket. Például a Neil Schon signature. A Floyd Rose cég pedig éppen azért kezdte el az FRX gyártását, mert nagy igény volt rá, csak nem szerették volna a legtöbben, hogy bele kelljen marni a testbe a felszerelés miatt. Most azonban itt az FRX, amit egyszerűen az eredeti húrláb helyére tehet fel bárki, aki szeretné,...mint pl. én. :) Üdv!

Azért is tettem ki a smiley-t a komment végére, mert sajnos ez a fajta nonverbális kommunikáció nem arra hivatott, hogy az emocionális mögöttes tartalmat át tudja adni. Személy szerint jobban kedvelem a konvencionális LesPaul-okat. Az a stílus, ahol mozgok, amit hallgatok nem feltétlen kívánja meg a "tremolo" használatát...Bár ez így annyira nem is jó megfogalmazás. Inkább azt mondom, hogy az én stílusom nem kívánja a FR rendszert. Ettől még ez nem rossz, és elismerem a létjogosultságát, mindösszesen egy apró fricska akart ez lenni annak irányába, hogy a Gibson is szakított a sokéves tradícióval, azzal az úttal, ami évtizedeken át meghatározta a márka szellemiségét, hiszen a NightHawk sem nevezhető egy tradicionális, konvencionális.LesPaul-nak. Persze tudom...ez a hangszer fejlődött a legtöbbet az évtizedek alatt, úgy, hogy néha még a létjogosultságát is megkérdőjelezték a megjelenése idején, mégis jómagam szerettem a Gibson-ra úgy gondolni, mint "A" nagy öregre, aki mindig egy bizonyos minőséget, stílust, soundot, és érzést ad. Mostanában pedig olyan érzésem van vele kapcsolatban, mint egy agyon magasztalt, túlárazott márkával, aki már nyomába se ér régi önmagának...
