Technically I think her 2010 Olympic programme is better, but the artistry and emotions she puts into this programme is one of the bests I have ever seen. This makes me wonder what her Sochi programmes will look like.

Well done, Queen Yuna! It is little wonder why the greats like Hamill, Flemming, Witt and Kwan have also looked on in utter awe and have been swept away by the sheer breathtaking beauty of your skating. They who know better than anyone else are tickled pink because you've realized what skating could be when grace, power, passion, technique, everything come exquisitely together - which is why they consider you one of the greats already and maybe even the greatest female figure skater ever.

It has been a drama since the ridiculously undermarked SP scores, but thank God, what a riveting denouement!

Compared to other past ladies champions you'd have to look at individual skills - Kim is dynamic and a great jumper but the rest wouldn't compare to the gorgeous spirals and flexible spins of Bobek or Cohen. There is no rationale for the scores yesterday. Kim's spread eagle was bent at the waist.

Watch the arms - on Kim Yu Na they are a bit wooden and are not timed to the music - before jumps they flop around. Patrick is never one moment without thinking about the music and his arms being in position. So, musical she will never be.

Her Olympic program included a double axel/triple toe. She can't do that anymore unless she attempts all the triples due to the rule changes. However her triple/triple here is the best she has ever done in my opinion. And totally agree with the artistry and emotions comment. Notice how she suddenly had better PCS than Kostner compared to the short program. And Kostner had a better skate and performance in the long. Funny how skate order still affects marks. lol

Sure it is super subjective, especially the artistic marks. Personally I feel that Yuna's short does not have much of the "wow" factor she has usually. And yeah the 2A-3T is exactly what I want to say! Also, her spins and spirals looked better in 2010. She was more flexible back then.

Everything she does is textbook. She doesn't make mistakes, which is something the rest of the field just cannot manage.

Scores for men below more accurate except for one thing - Patrick Chan is a great artist and so much more fluid and musical than Kim Yu Na whose spins and footwork will never be first rate. Patrick should teach her how to skate. Where did the judges get the 20 points? Carolyn Kostner is far better, too.

Yuna skated INCREDIBLY here, with feeling and impeccable technique. I still hate the music cuts. You don't need to a sound bite from every narratively/thematically important Les Mis song to do a program from Les Mis, it just feels like a painfully shallow interpretation of the musical.

I'd take away the fluid/musical thing (she is pretty good at that), but add in poor body carriage and chronically unpointed toes. There are men who skate more gracefully.
