Some online Horizon Open B-Class Racing with Iketani's 1992 Nissan Silvia Club K's S13 RWD Purist build. Iketani decided to experience Horizon Mexico's racing and he is in for some... very interesting races that reminded him of his past driving.
Played with keyboard.
Side note if you want the best build, you will have to engine swap the 3.2l I6 engine for an extra 30+hp with less weight within B-Class.

Nissan Silvia S13 Club K's B-Class purist performance review:
Currently the car is average at best if you wanna keep the original engine. Engine swap will yield significantly better performance.
The car can be a bit drifty at high speeds so it is important to keep your steering smooth. Acceleration is a bit on the weak side but overall handling is great thanks to the street tires compound. It does lack top speed/top end though as the car loses a lot of acceleration once you shift to 5th.

The only way they can buff stock engines is to pretty much make torque insignificant to class change, which in turn would make rally and Diesel engines OP It’s very complex but #BuffStockEngines :(

It is more complicated than that. Both LS V8 and 3.2l I6 also provided significantly more torque while having less PI. It has something to do with the shifting point of automatic transmission. The racing v12 however is an example of PI efficiency due to low torque.

what I love about fh5 over fh4 is that the "meta" cars are much less "meta" if that makes sense? When cars claim to be top of A class and the rest of the field is also top of A class the racing seems to be far closer together, and it really seems like its much more about driver skill than how op the car is (ford GT in S1 is still pretty damn fast but I managed to stay with it in an understeery Carerra GT). Just nice to see that most cars are viable now

Ya the stock engine in the 300zx is an insult... despite upgrading valves, pistons, block... you still have to swap the motor to get above 700hp. Real world the block can do 800rwp(960hp) with a rebuild before having to do crazy shit. There are several breaking 1000hp as well on the original motor, albeit rebuilt. A LOT of the mods are generic for PI I guess... 400hp is attainable with basic bolt ons, but they make you do it with more than needed in the game. Suspension geometry is also WRONG... and it irritates me immensely... trying to set it up like my car RL produces something that can't be controlled. Which again parts are generic for PI... meh.

Is there a general consensus on what's the best tire and weight reduction options for A class cars? Is it sport tire at best (or equivalent stock) with max weight reduction maybe? Assuming race tires are just overkill?

Really, it depends on the car that you want to keep in A class. Though, usually I prefer stock tires, sport tires or even the classic white wall tires sometimes.

After tinkering around a bit I noticed race weight reduction is very good, I can squeeze a little more power out from the engine with upgrades and my brakes also become better indirectly while barely loosing handling with a worse tirecompound. I do wonder if they are going to do anything about Sport - Rally - Race tires balance...

You gotta tune it other wise it just takes a little more throttle control than say a awd were you can just smash the gas

Softer springs in the rear, stiffer up front. Softer sways. Increase bump stiffness a hair, decrease rebound... adjust diff deceleration. Suspension tuning can get rid of "most" problems before needing things like aero. Edit: Also keep in mind that your coils you put in will adjust default camber settings out of the box. Putting in "drift" coils to get super low will also give you -5 camber up front by default... Race gives you -2 which is... about correct...

@@Lofi.z34 depends on the vehicle. My 300zx needs .5 and .4 to be stable, but other cars need more or less. Every car is a tad different, but same process. My point was putting race coils in puts you at -2 automatically. Drift is -5 and do forth.

I have a Buick Regal tune with this engine, 724 hp. It's wayyyy faster than this tune man.. got 14th in the world on rivals with it a few days ago (including cheaters). Granted it's a power tune that's not great on technical tracks. I'm sure yours handles better in tight areas than the Buick does.

Well why are you comparing a different car to this? And your build is considered a powerbuild which is a completely separate style of builds. This S13 can also go the powerbuild route but I am not interested engine swapping and adding ugly aero.
