Great job! Thanks for keeping that one on the roads and off. This REALLY brings me back. I had an original '89 Amigo XS 4x4 2.6L, spark blue just like yours but with the sun/moon roof. After about 25 years I had other responsibilities and couldn't hold out always wanting to restore it. Seeing all of those contours, handles, wing windows, and those funny dash buttons, I can recall that tactile feel of everything. Man I miss that car. :) Have fun!

Wow!!! That turned out great! Such an excellent job! Only changes I would have made would have been a center console from 97-03 Grand prix modified to fit and look nice and spray on bed liner in the rear half of the interior. But that's just me thinking out loud.

I'm a junkyard picker and diy'er all day, but I've never learned to paint with a proper setup. Do you have any recommendations for buying an air compressor for a first timer on a budget? I've never owned one large enough for HVLP painting and want to get one that will work, just for my own projects, without going overboard (both on price and specs).

How reliable are these? I've never heard of this particular model until now, and I'm not very familiar with Isuzu's reputation.
@gain06673 жыл бұрын
Well... Since I live in Thailand where Isuzu is one of the most market-sought brandd, they are built to last especially ones manufactured during this Amigo's time. Though it is 2021, I still see the old Isuzu pick-up lorries of the 1980-1990 generation running down the road and going about on a daily basis. My grandpa had one of Isuzu pick-up (Early 1990s Model) which is still running fine. Isuzu engines, like Toyota, require a tad bit of care and they will go on forever. Do note tho that they are not fast or noiseless but they perform anything you have for them and they usually do it well! Highly recommended!

Cylinder heads are known have hair line cracks and leak coolant into the combustion chamber. This where compression is lost.
