The fact the D-Max can be driven at normal passenger car speed limits on single & dual carriageways unlike most other pick-ups effectively makes it the Bugatti Veyron of pick-up trucks.

I get 30-33 MPG on mine and I like it a lot, it's slow and noisy when the engine works hard, but it cruises nicely and I find it quite comfortable. It is my main driver and I live in an urban environment as well, but I bought it because it can go off-road and that's something I'm really getting into. It costs a lot to fuel it compared to my other car because it has a 75L tank.
