Isuzu NPS300 failed injector

Today, we're looking for the reason why my truck started bellowing smoke and running with a 'miss'. Also, is that a noisy differential I can hear? Maybe that's just a matter of a pinion??

Thanks for taking us along on this job Pete ! Yea, that diff oil looks pretty murky . Many years back we had a bloke start at the garage where I worked . He was from NZ . His first job I helped him with working on '89 Caprice cop car . Was a new car at the time . He came in and ordered a crown wheel and pinion set , 😳. Didn't know what he meant , I have called them that since ! Still hear the pouring rain outside ! 🌵

Hi Scott!! :-) Crown and pinion is all I've ever known them as. Is there another term that I'm unaware of? Yeah, gotta love the rain! Actually, I'm really looking forward to driving into central NSW in the hope that it will be dry and sunny. I'm starting to forget what that looks like!!! Ha ha!!

Pete, when you changed the injectors I thought you had the problems solved and then came the big but. Lately for you when it rains it pours, hope you get it all sorted in time.

Yeah, I'm 'cutting it fine' trying to get all this done in time. Should be ok, though (I hope!!!).

Good video and results Pete. I wonder should you bring a few of the old injectors with you incase. It could possibly be the fuel you use. Certainly sounds better. What a shame about the diff. I’m sure all will go well with that though, it’s just a stuff around. All the best mate

Hi Steve, %100 agree on the fuel being the issue, however at the rate I'm saving money with this fuel, I can afford a new pump and injectors every 5th tank or so. So, if I can live with the inconvenience, I'm still ahead. Carrying spares is a great idea, too. Also, yeah, I'm kinda bummed about the diff, but it should make for some good content.
