Is there anyway to clean that pipe leading to the EGR valve? I'm going to pop my off and check it out, but after 210k miles I imagine I'm going to have build up. Do you have the exact Delphi EGR valve you used?

Preston Thompson thanks man Yea it can be cleaned but not really easily. You can remove it and clean it out I might try just running some sea foam through it first and see how it goes Not the whole engine just the pipe This weekend I’m gonna put a camera down my cylinders and do a compression test It’s gonnaBe a great vid And I saw your comment about the paint job I will do that this weekend for you and post it next week for sure with pictures of the process I didn’t start my channel until a lot of it was done. Really sucks haha Definitely go with classic city His lifts are great and he will help you and stand by his product Most of these other company’s don’t really care Eric is just an Isuzu guy helping us out putting great parts together in one lift Totally better situation I’m here for you too man. Preston Thompson kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2rOqJqNq6-El8k Heyo! Cleaning the pipe isn’t as hard as you’d think. Remove the throttle body. 4 Bolts. Cap off the two coolant hoses that run through the throttle body. Have Sea Foam Deep Creep on hand and a set of pipe wire brushes (harbor freight has a set of 6 for $7) papper towels below the pipe out let inside the manifold. Spray the Deep Creep into the pipe, and follow with wire brush. Takes awhile to get all the way to the back but well worth it. Clean the throttle body while at it. Cleaning the EGR valve is also very easy while it’s off. Been running on the same EGR valve for over 200k Miles.

Leaky injectors can also cause the rough startup running you describe. The injectors bleed raw fuel into the cylinders after shutdown.

When I was in trade school I was told to store torque wrenches at 20 percent capacity. May be different per your manufacturer of wrenches.

So Kevin, did the EGR replace help. I might have missed you results. Great vid as always. I have a 94 LS, motor and trans suck. I have a great idle, runs well when I rev under the hood but as soon as I get on the road it's fine till I punch it. Spits sputtters... I've changed out all the throttle, air control, map sensors and valves. Helped idle a lot. I've been up and down with a back injury so it would sit for months or even a year at a time. Do you think my tank might be contaminated and needs flush and filter or clogged injectors? UGH I love it too much to sell it but it's driving me crazy! Sorry so long. Keep up your good work, we schleppies are counting on you.

It cannot! The EGR valve has nothing to do with the coolant system. The coolant system is self contained. You have the radiator, thermostat, heater core, and water pump.

Are those vehicle reliable for heavy daily driving use?

If you can find one in good condition maybe but every one I've seen burns a little oil and will eventually have transmission problems. I wouldn't consider a 20 year old car great for heavy daily driving no matter what. You're going to be going through a lot of gas.
