haha yes mate, we did a few posts on Facebook about it and it is in the next few episodes! Repair wasn't worth filming as it is just sliding in the replacement unit. All easy

Great vid. Got a question, Why do comp trucks not use rope dampeners if they are so crucial ? They are using winches that run way faster and more powerful. But recreational 4wdriving they say its a must ? I don't get it, which 1 is right? Thanks

One is a competition where time is crucial so they dont bother with a rope dampener as it takes time. Why would you want to risk your safety if you arent in a competition?

@andyg9991 you would think that they would promote safety at an offroad event. Personally it looks like another way to get money more than safety otherwise ALL would use 1 .

@@jasonchitts377 which events allow you to run without a dampener? When we competed in winch challenges everyone had to run dampeners! We cover loads of events and even compete in a few and see dampeners used in most Aussie winch challenges as well as the RFC and other events in Malaysia.

@@4WDTV i watch wild dog and they weren't using them . I haven't seen all comps. I think the 1st time I went to wild dog they used them years ago but watching this year didn't see any. I suppose alot of people have stop using dampeners due to soft shackles maybe or are they just safe wearing helmets therefore don't use them. Also many off the comp truck drivers don't use them when not racing either. Just doesn't make sense. I use 1 all the time but then you see so called professionals not using them . Thanks for reply. huh? why would you say that? The last Iveco Daily model sold out ahead of schedule and the sales of the Isuzu NPS 4x4 is through the roof. Isuzu is struggling to keep up. There is a huge market here for these vehicles.
