Thank you for a nice straight forward, no nonsense, air compressor video. One of my girlfriend's husband is going to do this job for me and I'm going to be a mechanic's helper for the day. I own the truck and do as much myself as I can to save $$ and get the truck back making $$. Great help seeing this job is pretty straight forward.

Bro I have question? I had coolant lose, Not leak just lose, when I am driving check engine light is coming on, when I stop and open coolant tank all coolant coming back, somebody told me your air compressor is bad, but my air compressor is build air very quickly, I know my air compressor is one million miles on it, any advice please Thanks for your video

The air compressor is a possible suspect in your case. The other and just as likely is a blown head gasket, since the coolant level rises after you stop the engine. Either way you need to figure out coolant loss particularly if you have no leaks. If the engine is burning it, your truck will run better than ever because the water will raise the compression ratio. The problem is it can cause you to break a rod and destroy your engine. ISXs with leaking egr coolers are notorious for that. The broken rod will almost cut the engine in half. Where ever its going to just continue to add coolant as we did back in the bad old days. Coolant loss can lead to serious problems and can be difficult to figure out. Just from you brief description I would guess air compressor or head gasket in no particular order.

@@olivergarcia6952 they should be timed. It just isn't as critical as it once was. A blind hog finds an acorn every now and them and you can get lucky and get it close enough to be OK, but every one cylinder compressor must be timed and two cylinder compressors should be timed. Just because you put one on and it didn't knock doesn't mean it shouldn't be timed. On ISX the compressor gear is marked and should be installed close to the 10:00 position with the engine at TDC. it can be out a few teeth with no problem but needs to be close.
