How might Vashtors story end? The most likely is that he remains a permanent minor faction. This would give a more chances for Perty and the dark mechanicum to shine. IF he actually succeeds becoming a Chaos God, then he might be worshiped as the Omnissiah, or be empowered by the leuges of Votann. If he is defeated, then the big 4 might go to war over the soul forge, making them weaker players towards the physical world players. Or they might all just be perma debuffed when it comes to tools of war. The strangest theory ive seen is that Perterabo will team up with Vashtor, seige Terra, get into the throne room, and sacrifice Vashtor to the emperor so that he can permanently assend to Godhood. This would accomplish the redemption of the first traitor primarch, and set up a traitor arc for when Dorne returns.

Why would sacrificing a powerful demon revive the emperor? It would be way cooler if Perty was a demon engine and allied with Vashy, he lost all narrative value when they specified he was just a regular demon prince despite every single thing we know about his character

Vasathor staying a permanent minor faction is probably best, because if he ascends to godhood they'd kinda have to ruin a lot of his character to make him not destroy the setting. One way that might be fun to do that is bringing perty back, and then when vashator has his key and has found his door, is about to open the lock, perty shanks him the spine, grabs the key, opens the door and takes whatevers in there for himself. Say something vaugely cringe or possibly cool, then like 2v1 or 3v1 angron, mortarion, and maybe fulgrim ("what was in that door, peter?" "The angel exterminatus you pathetic weakling") , before fucking off and just doing randim bits as the strongest traitor primarch by far who gives exactly zero shits about chaos or the imperium, and is thus mostly irrelevant but everyone is terrified of him.

Vashtorr isnt just stepping on Tzeench’s toes, hes stepping on all 4 god’s domains. He is about progress to the excess, pushing everything to the limit and beyond, which takes from Slaanesh, and what breeds progress the most? War and violence, so hes taking that from Khorne as well. He doesnt really take anything from Nurgle, but his entire existence is anathema to Nurgle, honestly moreso than Tzeench because Vashtorr not just about things changing, but things progressing.

So they can’t reliable just say no to the warp. And he could always have abbadon, perturabo, or the dark mechanicus take the pylons out.

22:30 Man I fed him, It started with what if I could 3D print cheap easy target shooting ammunition for my father's .72 Caliber air rifle. The idea was brought up to put bbs and payloads in the 3D printed rounds which when they were solid could crack concrete and when they were 70% air on the inside would breakthrough sheet metal and then break apart. The first attempts exploded the second they left the rifled barrel because of tendency-to-want-to-go-in-a-straight-line force exerted by the metal BB payload on the unreinforced thin walls of the hollow round that was effectively a high spread rifle safe bird shot. Then came an end goal of having it pop or deploy after breaking through something of a thin-ish metal or a sheet of plywood, resulted in a cap and body design reinforcing the inner walls by holding the bbs in dedicated channels and a combination of a tactical rosebud shape and a dedicated penetrator portion for the cap. The result of testing with sheet metal cans and simulated walls was the round would fly straight like a regular rifle round and then after penetrating light cover equivalent to a car door the plastic became shrapnel and the BB payload spread at a maximum rate of 1 foot wide for every 1 foot traveled forward, with still enough energy to go through a sheet of 5/8 inch plywood. I had just from the joy of inventing and messing around created a round that anyone with a 3D printer and $1800 for a really powerful air rifle in the US can make and fire that is the perfect counter to a drive by, or use to kill or maim everyone in that car way over there. We haven't used it on anything living, but if we want to quickly deal with a barricaded bear or a raccoon party in a trash can now I have the perfect round for it, since the regular lead slugs in this rifle reportedly do that handedly anyways. (We did fire one of the normal lead rounds into an eggs stealing opossum and that went from he/him to here/there.)

Arguably, regarding 30:50, the reason why Vashtorr isn't a god is *because* he has goals and focus. Chaos is naturally chaotic and unfocused and flighty, as Isyander said. Perhaps ascending would make Vashtorr lose his focus, or it prevents him as those are more "mortal" ways of thinking, even for a daemon.

They had a helmet like Koda described for an experimental test aircraft I was a Defense Contractor on nearly twenty years ago... It was really cool... When it worked. Which it frequently didn't because pilots can't be bothered to use them properly and often broke the adapter that plugged into the instrumentation next to the pilot's seat. Still pretty cool, though... It was supposed to connect directly into targeting systems, as well as show a projected 3-D topographical overlay outside of the canopy, which was also part of it.

I just had an absolutely insane idea...Vashtorr is a chaos deamon trying to become a god and the Omnissiah is assumed to be the C'tan known as the void dragon which is for all intents and purposes a god of the material realm. I am so ready for Vashtorr and either Perturabo or General Farsight to team up. It honestly makes more sense for Perty to team up with him & would help the show why he stayed with chaos more than just doing his own stuff after the Heresy.
