@@zeonmx Are you joking or did you just not actually _READ_ anything about the Badab war firsthand, and only get your lore from youtube? I'm gonna guess it's the latter because you strike me as a fairweather youtube fan without any actual grasp of the lore. Since I actually read the relevant fiction, let me clue you in: The Minotaurs canonically took SAVAGE losses while trying to subdue the Lamenters, to the point where their commanders were in stunned disbelief. Despite the Lamenters being at _less than half strength,_ the Minotaurs were losing between 4-6 marines to every Lamenter dead. They walked in thinking it was going to be a butchers shop and wound up being absolutely mauled by a severely under-strength opponent who didn't want to fight in the first place and really wanted to end things diplomatically. The Minotaurs being the Minotaurs, they threw their full strength at them instead. The Lamenters fought and murdered them SO insanely brutally hard that the surviving Minotaurs at the closing of the war stood IN SUPPORT of the Lamenters as being innocent of rebellion, and only fighting due to their steadfast loyalty to their allies. This support is why the Lamenters weren't destroyed or decreed excommunicate traitoris and instead given a penitent crusade.

As 4th year undergraduate architecture student, the ziggurat in Alaska would need to be extremely steep to alleviate extra weight added by snow over time. Besides weight from snow, steep slopes alleviate percipitation in general. As for building materials, concrete would suffer from erosion and crack through thawing cycles. Concrete can resist cold with specific mixtures and has a chance to set before freezing (i.e The inverse Chukum Concrete for tropical climates). Lastly I would have heavy moisture barrier insulation with cold-weather type concrete and stone veneers. For interiors, concrete slabs separating floors with NLT (Nailed Laminated Wood) on the underside. In perspective a resident would have a nice thick wooden ceiling with concrete flooring. NLT to concrete layers could be reversed depending on preference. TLDR: Alaskan Ziggurat would require steep angles, special reinforced concrete, stone veneers, or brick. Interior and spaciality would be up to client's taste, and engineers are going to have nightmares.

You did miss one of the more unusual things about the Minotaurs, in the clean-up after Badab, they stood in support of the Lamenters as being incidental to the rebellion and helped them not get completely destroyed. To this day it is the one time they ever did anything to even remotely help another chapter that didn't involve them being ordered to do so.

Makes it harder to pin down where they are at in their headspace though. They did that... But they also committed MASSIVE looting & Overkill in removing them from that fight.

Its because when the Lamenters fight, like any true sons of the Angel, they fight with nothing held back, defending against boarding actions they held out so well against overwhelming force that it earned them a sort of respect. Also the Lamenters, despite being at less than half strength by the time the Minotaurs went for them, inflicted ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC LOSSES on the Minos. Something like 4-6 Minotaurs dead for each Lamenter. It left the Minotaurs severely humbled because they knew that if both were at full strength it would have been a nightmarish slaughter the Minotaurs likely would not have survived. Which is partly why the Minotaurs gave them their support. They respect the martial prowess.

15:20 it was Socrates. The teacher of plato. So close. He was on trial for corrupting the youth and blasphemy against the Gods. He was an old man by that time, and could have easily gotten out of trouble by repenting or begging forgivement but decided to use the platform to double down on his points and argue against all of his accusers publicly embarrassing them in the process. So he was put to death but chose to take his own life by ingesting poison hemlock i believe.

What I personally like about the Minotaurs, is that it fills the roster of elites serving the top rungs of the Imperium. The Custodes(Gold) serve the God Emperor, the Grey Knights(silver) serve the Inquisition, which is basically equal in power to the next rung, and the Minotaurs(Bronze) serve the High Lords. Makes a nice little triage of superhumans that is super cool to imagine.

The interplays are that while the Greeks were defending manhattan the Romans laid siege to the titan stronghold on Mt. Othrys. Both Percy and Jason killed titans. As well as carver swears that he saw “a flying horse in manhattan” and that there’s reports of “strange magic” as close as Long Island. There’s also a point in the trials of Apollo series where Apollo, Nico, and Meg go to see Rachel and she tells them about a big house on top of a warehouse off in the distance and that she sees penguins (Felix’s) every now and then. There’s a short story series that brings together Percy and Carver then Annabeth and Sadie to fight Setne. There’s also the fact that Annabeth has a cousin named Magnus who’s from Boston and is connected to Norse mythology (he’s a Son of Frey) as well. He’s got a whole series to himself and Percy goes with Annabeth to help Magnus out. 56:27 All the series are connected and the Norse series takes place as the trials of Apollo series is going on.

Depending on their losses, they might actually be able to inflict significant losses on the ultramarines. The blueberries have overwhelming advantage, but it would be fun to see what the chapter capable of overwhelming victory against "equal" numbers of combatants would do against a vastly superior force.

Up untill the minotaurs arrived the lamenters spent months fighting in a war and WINNING without firing a single shot or harming anyone, just a shit ton of maneuver warfare to threaten vulnerable positions and force enemy forces to retreat. They were blunting enemy advances and holding ground, while being fired upon without even returning fire, but just with strategic threats and please to reconsider on the radios.
