About IT:
The horror thriller “IT”, directed by Andrés Muschietti, is based on the hugely popular Stephen King novel of the same name, which has been terrifying readers for decades. When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids is faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.

I think it sounds playful and gloomy/creepy at the same time. In that way it's also similar to Pennywise, which is what makes it work so well

How can an horror movie soundtrack be so beautiful? Hearing this takes me back to that rainy day at the beginning of the movie. What a great job they did. The cast was perfect. The kids are great actors and this movie can very well be the best adaptation of a Stephen King book. Nice job ;)

Fun fact: This right here is a twisted version of the 18th century nursery rhyme "Oranges and Lemons". It's now been dubbed as the Pennywise theme. It's a motif actually throughout the film, specifically when Georgie, Mike and Eddie meet him for the first time.

Who is here after seeing It chapter 2? I love this soundtracks to this movies so much. And i think It 2 is great follow up to the first one. Casting is spot on. Pennywise has the most scaryest scene period in this movie. This is a lot funnier than the first one, and emotional payoff is so huge. I am sad that this is over. I will watch both of those movies in one go and have a blast. Bye guys, until 27 years

IT is not just horror, it’s one of the most beautiful stories ever the book itself is amazing and these movies are too good. Scary, funny, nostalgic, psychological, melancholic and romantic all at once. My favourite Stephen King’s book and definitely one of my favourite movies(both chapter 1&2) not to mention how amazing the cast is for both movies.

I find it kind of interesting how major chords are used for the majority of the piece but when lower notes and minor or diminished chords come in the whole vibe goes from peace and quiet to confused/scared. This is a well composed piece all around, whether you perceive it as peaceful or intense/scary.

Apparently the song in the beginning is a British nursery rhyme, and since the composer is a Brit it makes sense to me to use it.

Cinedragon Yeah, it’s a very old nursery rhyme called, “Oranges and Lemons”. I’m British too so hearing this in the movie was pretty cool, and I was kinda tempted to sing along too...

Another fun fact is that the composer was scared of this song as a kid, that's why he used it as the monster's theme. So we have to thank childhood trauma for this awesome soundtrack.

Cine dragon-Nice to know I wasn't the only one who was scared by this rhyme as a kid. When I first saw the movie & realised the composer incorporated that rhyme into the score, I almost felt as though I was one of Pennywise's victims & he was trying to use my childhood fear against me.

The child singing along with the piano playing is just so haunting & eerie. Did anyone else notice the foreshadowing they did early in the movie when the face that Georgie made on the window faded away? I like those little touches they had in the movie. Also when Pennywise has that creepy smile on his face after he says "you don't wanna lose it, Georgie. Bill's gonna kill ya"

Still think this one of, if not the best singular theme of any Hollywood movie in 2017. Creepy, haunting, emotional and eerily calming, it is the lynchpin that binds the themes of the movie together. Benjamin Wallfisch is a talent to look out for.
