it's nice to know there are people like you who promote the philippines in a nice way. we get bombarded by the ugliness every day by the media (hunger, poverty) and it is NOT inspiring. your video is a breath of fresh air by contrast! i love the intro from the airplane announcer. that also gives me goosebumps every time i come home (the line, welcome to manila, or cebu...) please make more of these inspiring videos...

Hey, HappySlip, thanks for putting this together. i think a lot of the 2nd-generation Filipino kids abroad NEED to see this. Most of us are ignorant when it comes to our roots. And, may I say, you're an excellent film-maker. :)

Kudos on the editing...I like the "slideshow carousel" technique with moving video instead of static slides. Works very well. I do hope the other episodes give more on the culture, history, and people. Beijing has a nice mall, but I wouldn't show that in any travelogue on China when there is so much more to a country than malls. I'm guessing Manilla has more to offer than shopping.

Isn't the first time going there such an unforgettable experience? And you meet the 5 bajillion cousins you always hear about. It was my first time seeing clear ocean water too...And I've been to one of the hotels you were at as well as the temple with the dragon in front. I went when I was 13 and I can still remember everything...glad to see you had a great time! And thanks for making such wonderful videos to help me remember it all over again.

I worked with so many different cultures now. Heaps of Phillipinos work in NZ. I can definetly say that they are very kind and gentle people. I hope we get heaps more here. Other than that I was an immigrant to Germany. I can totally relate to having part of your heart in a different culture. It caused me to completely migrate. Thanks for this video...Phillipines is definetly a country I would love to see one day...God bless.
