Dude I fucking loved this anime and watched it the second it came out. Thanks so much. I am very sad that it ended. Unpopular opinion but I think this was the best anime from the spring 2023 season and yes this was better than oshi no ko kinda cried when it ended tho.

This was one of my favorite shows of the season, I thought Ichikawa and Yamada were such interesting and genuine characters. It's definitely a show I'll be thinking about for a long time. Looking forward to season 2!

I’m with you. I fully expected Oshi no Ko to be my favorite, and didn’t expect to like this show at all. Definitely the surprise of Spring 2023, and ended up being my favorite as well.

Judging by the rise in ratings, I think that your opinion is not so unpopular. I think this is the best romcom not only of this season, but of the year, and probably one of the best romance animes in the last few years.

@@daytripper1023 same sentiments, i waited for both of these to finish, watched oshi no ko first and i really enjoyed but maaaaaan, i watched bokuyaba after that and i couldn't stop smiling. the way the author did this romance is brilliant

the show definitely started out slow. Not that that’s a bad thing but I really didn’t care for any of the characters until like ep 5 and every following episode i started to love the show more and more. definitely my favorite of the season too

This is a great anime that many missed because of the first episodes, which many considered cringe. But the cringe-worthy stereotyped school romcom, with each episode, turned into a very tender and beautiful romantic story.
