With the amount of lead you find, maybe you could make some money from it? I have a friend who metal detects on beaches and finds old lead fishing sinkers. He used to sell them to a fishing shop as second hand sinkers, but found out they pay 3 times as much for new ones. So now he smelts down the old lead sinkers, pours them into a mould and creates "new" sinkers. He sells them to the same fishing shop for triple the money. He's made a few hundred dollars now. With all the lead you're finding, and your new furnace. Maybe you could try this too? Worth a try. 😁

Hey my man, just wondering what the gravity syphon laws are in your area? I know where I am no machinery(pumps) are allowed. But gravity sluices are gray area enough you can normally get away with it. But I would love to see you give a homemade gravity sluice a go if it’s allowed near you. They are my person favorite way to look for gold. It’s like a continuous yabby pump and can let you move soooo much small stuff.

The pellet paddock is beautiful and full of history. Lucky you enjoying it. The permit plan is very flawed. Buuuuut.....there are areas where rare flora and fauna need to be protected. There has been a lot of theft and damage to native orchids in forests and grass lands. And disruption of habitat during native animal breeding seasons. For those areas I think tight protections are desirable.
